Job Context:
∎ Job Context: SARPV is a local organization that has been implementing a nutrition project at the Rohingya camp in Cox`s Bazar since 2017. The project aims to improve the health and nutrition status of the Rohingya refugees through a range of interventions, including community-based nutrition education, distribution of nutritional supplements, and support for breastfeeding mothers. Under its Nutrition program providing lifesaving nutrition support to the displaced people arriving from the Rakhine state of Myanmar to Cox`s Bazar camps.
∎ Job purpose: The Assistant MEAL Officer S/He is responsible for the quality of the MEAL works, ensuring that it captures the impact, outcomes, outputs, and activities of the project. Produce an overall analysis of the effect/impact through monitoring and evaluation. S/He also responsible to Collect data regularly to measure achievements against the target and performance indicators. Maintain and develop the beneficiary database, M&E tools, M&E plan, analyze, aggregate findings, responsible for the AAP & CFM and organize training/orientation on need basis. Support project progress reporting, project mid-term review, and final evaluation (internal/external).
∎ Liaises with: The Assistant MEAL Officer will work closely and liaise with the MEAL Coordinator (line manager) and also work closely with the MEAL Officer and Program Manager in supporting the MEAL Department and Program/Project unit.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual up to 31st October 2023 (Renewable based on fund availability).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the MEAL Coordinator in the preparation of project reports, including donor reports and project progress reports.
∎ Develop and implement the MEAL plan and adopt tools for collecting information's a smart way and as per need to run the project smoothly.
∎ Support adaptation of activity work plans, implementation according to the project design, and analysis of the target vs achievement.
∎ Ensure staff is trained and concerned about the M&E and reporting requirements. Provide orientation on a need basis. Review team's accountability reports and share critical information with management for action planning.
∎ Plan, develop, implement, and analyze beneficiary's database, reporting tools & templates and maintain MIS system on this program.
∎ Perform data quality checks to ensure data integrity, reliability, and meets the data protection policy.
∎ Support project manager to ensure that the project has met all its goals and objectives, information management, data processing, and utilization. Develop tools for as per requirements and needs.
∎ Assist the Program Manager to prepare Data support for monthly and quarterly progress reports and also monthly and quarterly progress reviews.
∎ Regularly analyze and share database & monitoring finding issues that need immediate attention and giving feedback for improvements.
∎ Regular field visit, monitor and follow up visits the projects area to strengthen the M&E elements and program. To ensure standard reporting procedures have to be followed.
∎ Assist Programme Manager in donor reporting and other tasks required for the project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning. And also gave support to MEAL coordinator in submitting all project-related internal, external, and requested reports from donor on time.
∎ Evaluate the project's monthly reports and take action against the reporting findings or wrong data.
∎ Contribute to project learning and accountability by sharing project results and lessons learned with project staff, stakeholders, and partners.
∎ Implement accountability mechanisms at the field level, e.g., complaints and feedback mechanisms, PDM, OSM, Exit interview/beneficiary satisfaction measurement tools, etc.
∎ Maintain CFM database and confidentiality of CFM register.
∎ Demonstrating a positive and collaborative mentality while working on a team, and providing strong support to the line manager on assigned tasks.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 year's work experience in MEAL fields.
∎ Advanced proficiency in MS Office as well as experience of maintain big data.
∎ Fluent in both spoken and written English.
∎ Good knowledge on the Rohingya refugee context is desirable.
∎
∎ Good computer knowledge and report writing skills are required.
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
∎ Experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting using a range of software tools like SPSS, Project R, PowerBi or Tableau and Excel.
∎ Experience working with pregnant and lactating women, and children would be an advantage.
∎ Experience working with the Rohingya refugee context would be an advantage.
∎ Ability to work flexibly including weekends and willingness to travel and work in rural locations and live in basic conditions.
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
