Job Purpose: A leading super shop chain in Bangladesh is seeking a results-driven procurement professional with strong market insight, proven vendor management skills, and sharp negotiation expertise to source and deliver fresh, high-quality fish at competitive rates.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure freshness, quality, and competitive pricing in the fish category.

  • Source, evaluate, and maintain a strong vendor network, ensuring consistent supply and reduced dependency on single sources.

  • Flexible and always ready to move to the source to connect with fisheries and farmers for building strong linkage with the industry.

  • Always thrive to provide the best and fresh value for money to customers while maintaining a healthy profit margin.

  • Design, implement, and practice safeguard strategies to reduce product wastage and cost.

  • Perform in-depth market and competitor analysis to benchmark product quality, pricing, and promotions, ensuring offerings remain superior.

  • Negotiate with suppliers and fisheries to secure the best rates without compromising quality, while ensuring strict compliance with QC parameters, including freshness, hygiene, and cold chain management from source to outlet.

  • Prepare and analyze weekly gross profit value and percentage reports, generate detailed procurement reports, and present findings with actionable recommendations to management.

  • Introduce new vendors and build direct connections with local suppliers and root-level personnel to identify actual sourcing costs and ensure competitive procurement rates.

  • Plan and execute special price promotional offers for customers’ attraction and sales drive weekends during key national and religious occasions (Pohela Boishakh, Eid, Independence Day, Victory Day, Puja, etc.).

  • Conduct regular market and competitor surveys to collect real-time pricing data and prepare reports that guide pricing decisions, ensuring affordability and competitiveness
