  • Knowledge on textile manufacturing process especially yarn and fabric.



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Purchase and maintain raw materials (raw cotton, fabrics, all kinds of yarn both local and foreign sourcing) as per the needs of Textile Division.

  • Responsible for procurement from local and foreign sources with best quality materials at competitive price according to the company`s policies & requirements.

  • Negotiate prices with local/foreign suppliers and eliminate waste in order to obtain lower prices.

  • Maintaining a strong sourcing plan both for foreign and local sources Fabric & Yarn, so that fast and effectively sourcing operations are possible.

  • Establish and maintain high standards of relationships with suppliers for the most cost-effective and favorable service.

  • Prepare and maintain the status of import & local plan for Fabric, Woven Yarn & Towel Yarn.

  • Handling up all fabrics & Woven Yarn & Towel Yarn Import & Local activities.

  • Executing Purchase Requisitions (PR), Preparing Comparative Statement (CS), and Creating SAP Purchase Order (PO).

  • Execute and create the SAP Purchase Order (PO) and make GRN in SAP within short time.

  • Ensure required certification for marketer’s order accomplishment.

  • Handling all kinds of L/C/TT/FDD/check payment related documents.

  • Follow up shipping documents related to import to ensure the clearance of goods from port on time.

  • Follow up customs clearance, freight forwarding/transportation and C&F activities for smooth delivery.

  • Execute on the annual and monthly procurement plan to meet the needs of operation including stock inventory and ageing follow up.

  • Coordinate with the supplier payment through LC, TT & cheque payment.

  • Continuously follow up and update the performance of suppliers and maintain eligible list of reputed and capable suppliers who maintains ethical business.

  • Co-ordinate with Accounts & Audit Department for ensuring party payment process.
