Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidates must have B.Sc in Agriculture with minimum CGPA 2.50 or 2nd division/ class or equivalent result in all academic examinations. (Major in Agronomy will be given preference. Age, education and experiences may be relaxed in case of potential candidates)
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Developing and implementing quality control procedures to ensure the quality of the seeds received and stored in different SPCs. This would include establishing protocols for seed testing, quality assurance, and data analysis. Comply the ISTA rules and regulations to get ISTA certification.
∎ Quality seed receive from BRAC own farms, contract growers and imports. Ensure proper seed storing conditions (temperature, humidity, fumigation, and delotting). Ensure quality processing, treatment, drying and packaging.
∎ Collaborating with other departments within organization, such as research and development and production, to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the seed production process.
∎ Conducting scheduled seed testing to ensure they meet certain quality standards. This may include germination testing, purity testing, and genetic testing.
∎ Maintaining accurate records of seed quality testing results and other relevant data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and to support ongoing quality control efforts.
∎ Ensure proper packaging (heat seal, sewing, weight, moisture content, regulatory information).
∎ Take proper decision of seed processing, treatment and packet (lot selection and rejection, priority, etc.)
∎ Ensure SCA Tag collection.
∎ Monitoring industry developments to stay up-to-date with developments in the seed industry, including changes in regulations, advances in technology, and new research findings, to ensure that the organization is using the most effective and efficient quality control methods.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
