Experience:

• At least 5 years

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.

Additional certification/training on EMS, ISO 14001, Sustainability, or Compliance will be considered an advantage.

Sound knowledge of environmental laws and compliance standards.

Good understanding of ISO 14001, Higg Index, ZDHC, and sustainability practices.

Strong communication and reporting skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Good leadership and team management capability.  

Job Context

A reputed 100% Knit Garments Manufacturing Company is looking for a dynamic, experienced, and self-motivated professional for the position of Assistant Manager – EMS & ECR. The candidate will be responsible for handling Environmental Management System (EMS), Environmental Compliance Reporting (ECR), sustainability compliance, and related regulatory activities of the factory.

Job Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor Environmental Management System (EMS) activities in compliance with local and international standards.

Ensure compliance with environmental laws, buyer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Prepare and maintain all environmental compliance documents, reports, and records.

Coordinate ETP/STP operation, waste management, chemical handling, and pollution control activities.

Conduct internal environmental audits and follow-up corrective actions.

Liaise with government authorities, auditors, buyers, and third-party inspection teams regarding environmental compliance.

Monitor energy, water, and resource consumption and prepare sustainability reports.

Ensure timely renewal of environmental licenses, certificates, and permits.

Provide environmental awareness training to employees and relevant departments.

Support management in achieving sustainability and compliance goals.
