Experience:
Proven experience in Re-Rolling Steel Mills/Glass & Aluminum/Shipbuilding industry procurement, including sourcing of Raw Material, Spare Parts, Consumables and Plant maintenance items.
Strong SAP proficiency for handling procurement operations, vendor management, transaction processing and reporting across industrial environments.
Strong negotiation, supplier development and cost optimization skills tailored to heavy industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Hands-on experience in local sourcing, vendor evaluation and maintaining long-term supplier relationships for continuous supply assurance.
Ability to analyze market trends, manage price fluctuations and ensure cost-effective procurement decisions.
Strong capability in preparing procurement MIS reports and presenting insights to management for strategic decision-making.

Job Description:
Manage local procurement and sourcing operations for engineering, production, operational Raw Material & Spare Parts for Meghna Re-Rolling & Steel Mills Limited (MRSML)/ Meghna Glass Industries Limited (MGIL)/ Meghna Shipbuilders & Dockyard Limited (MSDL) to ensure uninterrupted business operations and supply chain efficiency.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans by identifying, evaluating and maintaining strong relationships with reliable suppliers and manufacturers to achieve long-term advantages for the organization.
Conduct high-level negotiations with vendors regarding pricing, contracts, payment terms, delivery schedules and commercial agreements to ensure maximum cost optimization and value generation.
Supervise procurement activities through SAP by monitoring purchase requisitions, comparative statements, purchase orders, inventory coordination and procurement reporting to maintain operational accuracy and transparency.
Collaborate closely with plant operations, engineering, production, finance, warehouse and management teams to align procurement activities with organizational goals and project timelines.
Analyze market trends, Material pricing, supplier performance, and industry developments regularly to support strategic purchasing decisions and minimize procurement risks.
Mentor and monitor procurement team members by assigning responsibilities, evaluating performance and ensuring achievement of departmental KPIs and procurement targets.
Ensure sourcing activities comply with company procurement policies, audit requirements, legal regulations, and ethical business practices while maintaining complete documentation and records.
Prepare and present management-level procurement reports, cost-saving analyses, supplier evaluations and operational insights to senior management for strategic decision-making and business planning.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process by enhancing vendor management systems, reducing procurement lead time and improving cost efficiency across operations.
