Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible to ensuring to effectively implementation of the safeguarding policy and safeguarding program activities.
∎ Take initiatives to raise awareness about the organization’s safeguarding policy and other policies including the Code of Conduct and develop reporting mechanisms through conducting training and various discussion sessions.
∎ Work with Director-Finance & Administration/managers/ staff to ensure that programe personnel and operations are taking preventing measures where vulnerable people may be put at risk of harm, because of the way the project/ programme/ operation is designed or implemented.
∎ Raise awareness of the program participants, volunteers, partners and CBO’s on safeguarding and reporting mechanism and of their rights to raise a concern about their safety or wellbeing.
∎ Work to establish a community-level complaints mechanism that facilitate reporting of harm and abuses.
∎ Review reports in regard to harm and abuse, responding in accordance with the organization’s procedures and providing referral or next step advice.
∎ Plan and participate in any investigation into an incident or case involving harm to staff, children and communities.
∎ Discuss subsequent action required, to ensure the safety and welfare of individual people, in cases of harm caused by the organization.
∎ Monitor the progress of all reported cases.
∎ Deliver a suite of mandatory core training workshops as part of the roll-out to enable staff with key responsibilities to undertake their roles and mainstream safeguarding functions.
∎ Deliver on-going induction, training and refresher training as appropriate.
∎ Review and strengthen Child & Adult Safeguarding systems within partner agencies, planning and delivering training programs accordingly. Adult & Child Safeguarding Standards are applied throughout the organization.
∎ Oversee, monitor and enforce follow-up of policy implementation in order to ensure maximum levels of compliance and competence.
∎ Support programs and operations to implement safeguarding Due Diligence process of partners, follow safe program design tools for preventing (or addressing) situations where vulnerable people may be put at risk.
∎ Develop training modules and learning materials and conduct session for various participants on safeguarding and PSEA issues.
∎ Develop monitoring tools/ questionnaire/ checklist for measuring achievement and impact of safeguarding initiatives and awareness raising activities.
∎ Work with Risk Management Team to ensure systematic risk assessment of programs and departments and maintain safeguarding risk register and follow up.
∎ Prepare narrative progress report on safeguarding progress for different management level and donors.
∎ Liaison between staff and managers to access external technical support in particular in regards to complex abuse issues.
∎ Prepare periodic reports for senior management on the implementation of safeguarding activities.
∎ Maintain safeguarding risk register to record the safeguarding complaints and follow up.
∎ Coordinate the grievance handling procedure as per policy.
∎ Ensure implementation of administrative policies and procedures as outlined in Personnel and Administration Manual.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ Relevant 3 Years' experience in safeguarding / compliance/ legal/ HR unit and practical experience to work with communities in any humanitarian project or community development project will add value.
∎ Able to plan and analyze safeguarding situation and needs of different program and enterprises
∎ Able to plan and implement capacity building needs and designing capacity building interventions.
∎ Able to contribute to strengthen safeguarding reporting mechanism for beneficiary and
∎ children
∎ Skilled networker who builds and utilizes contacts and relationships to strengthen safeguarding
∎ practices.
∎ Strong communication ability in verbal and in writing to suit target audience and
∎ deliver messages effectively.
∎ Embed safeguarding culture throughout the organization
∎ Understanding and commitment on Safeguarding principles and practices
∎ Experienced on technical and financial project design and management

Salary: Tk. 40432 (Monthly)
