∎ Islamic Relief provides lifesaving humanitarian assistance to the FDMNs as they lack access to the basic needs of life. Since the beginning of the influx, Islamic Relief has been working with Bangladesh Government and other implementing partners to support FDMNs living in Cox’s Bazar. We ensure food and non- food items for FDMNs living in Bhashanchar. We improve the safety and well- being of FDMNs by
∎ Providing monthly food ration
∎ Providing water and sanitation
∎ Constructing wash blocks
∎ Installing tube-wells
∎ Distributing Ramadan food packs, Eid gifts, and Qurbani meat
∎ Providing non-food items like LPG, hygiene kits, and winter clothes to the families both in Cox’s Bazar and Bhashan Char.
∎ Database management includes customizing the database per sector/cluster needs and organizational requirements (50%)
∎ Contributing to applying various Standards and Record-Keeping Policies, including but not limited to the application of data standards, project documentation standards, and document management conventions.
∎ Integrating, archiving, and extracting large datasets for cross-referencing and statistical analysis, designing workflows and data collection models where necessary;
∎ Supporting and participating in analytical work by processing data and information in a suitable format;
∎ Writing data queries for analytical purposes using SQL;
∎ Maintaining a close working relationship with Information Management counterparts in partner agencies and organizations;
∎ Liaising with the camp information management officer, site management agencies, and field team to ensure that database development, data entry, and data extraction methods provide optimum functionality and usability to stakeholders.
∎ Conducting regular training for sector/cluster members and working closely with the IM focal points making sure that the process of data entry is going smoothly;
∎ Working with the field team, and SMSD team to produce reports, maps, and charts from the data;
∎ Promoting the adoption of Information Management tools and techniques.
∎ Together with the other relevant staff of the Office, developing and implementing a dissemination strategy for all information products (e.g. reports, data, maps) through, for example, hard copy, standalone executable programmes, CD-ROMs, and websites;
∎ Promoting the collection of baseline data and indicators;
∎ Assist in identifying suitable sites for WASH & Shelter activity implementation.
∎ Proven experience with the KoBo Toolbox application and data analysis for preparing reports and documentation.
∎ Collect referrals from site management agencies and deliver them to the program team.
∎ Prepare camp-wise reports and provide respective agencies, SMSD, CiC, ISCG, WASH, and Shelter sectors as well as internal communication.
∎ To collect various eligible lists for distributing NFI & Hygiene kits
∎ Conduct a door-to-door survey to finalize beneficiaries.
∎ Supervise the beneficiary’s identification as per fixed selection criteria and by the methodology fixed by IR.
∎ Finalize the beneficiary by ensuring endorsement and validation from relevant authorities.
∎ Prepare a beneficiary list, Muster roll, etc.
∎ Do effective and appropriate networking and coordination with different stakeholders (25%)
∎ Assist in organizing inception meetings at different levels.
∎ To Participate in various coordination meeting as WASH & Shelter sector meetings, CiC coordination meetings
∎ Organize various working relationship-building orientations and training.
∎ Linkages with government officials, DPHE, CICs, CMOs, UN agencies, and NGOs.
∎ Formulation of the project implementation committee.
∎ Communication and collaboration with SMSD, CMO, focal agencies
∎ Coordination & networking with key stakeholders.
∎ Participate in various personal development training, orientation, and workshop.
∎ Project Reporting and Documentation (15%)
∎ Provide monthly activity reports to SMSD, CMO, sector, and other agencies.
∎ Collect completion reports according to requirements.
∎ Provide the necessary documentation to WASH focal points, agencies, etc.
∎ Prepare and submit a plan of the weekly activities to the line manager:
∎ Report back any problems and constraints encountered during the activities and suggest operational solutions.
∎ Support for the Procurement of materials like requisition, quotation collection, etc.
∎ Others (10%)
∎ Participate & involve with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Ensure that local purchases and expenditures are done as per Islamic Relief Bangladesh policy.
∎ Maintain the stock book, inventory, and other essential registers properly and timely in an effective manner.
∎ Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up, etc.
∎ Take initiatives to ensure the security of project staff and participants during the intervention.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering to achieve the program’s goals of safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on the safeguarding of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
