Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters in Nutrition/Agriculture/Social Science with relevant experience (academic qualification can be relaxed in case of highly qualified/ experienced candidate.)
∎ Five years of experience in nutrition, livelihood, agriculture, public health, water, sanitation, hygiene, household food production, behavior change communications, market systems development, capacity building, applied research approaches or working on programs of similar scope and complexity or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum requirements will be flexible for the potential candidates

Job Context:
∎ Friends In Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is implement Feed the Future Bangladesh Nutrition Activity (BNA) in Faridpur district supported by Abt associates. Interested candidates are requested to apply for the position:
∎ Location : The position will be based at Project Office, Faridpur.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ FIVDB seeks a qualified candidate for the position of "Area Specialists" for "Feed for the Future Bangladesh Nutrition Activity" project. Area Specialists will be supervising 3-4 outreach specialists based at two upazilas of Faridpur district to ensure smooth and effective operations of the program support activities in compliance with guide line develop, materials support & demo plot establish, budgeting, staff supervision, follow up & reporting. S/he will remain under control, direct supervision and guidance of Technical Director of the project.

∎ A: Primary Responsibilities:
∎ Linkage with rural market actors, and community groups.
∎ Effective implementation of SBC and market development strategy.
∎ Liaise with upazila government and private sector stakeholders as and when required in support of project implementation
∎ Closely work with Market Management Committee (MMC), permanent and temporary/mobile vendors, women groups, existing adolescent groups, Agro-input Retailors, Government Agriculture Officer.
∎ Support Outreach Specialists to organize training with mobile sale agents, permanent and temporary/mobile vendors, women groups, adolescents etc.
∎ Organize and conduct training, meeting, workshop at Upazila level with upazila stakeholders of BNA.
∎ Assist Outreach Specialists to conduct PRA at Growth Centres and catchment areas.
∎ Support Outreach Specialist to organize linkage meeting input & output actors including others stakeholders to ensure better market access.
∎ Linkage & networking with upazila line department (Such as DAE, ULO), private sectors.
∎ B: Secondary Responsibilities:
∎ Collect monitoring data, compile, analysis and report to management. Support other team members to collect monitoring data, and verify data quality.
∎ Prepare all kind of quantitative & qualitative reports as per donor & organizational requirement
∎ Any other task assigned by authority as and when requirement
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 52 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Experience of working with USAID projects in resilience, nutrition, food security and livelihood, would be an added advantage.
∎ Possess technical and program innovations, monitoring and evaluation as well as multi-sector approaches.
∎ Ability to drive motorcycle with having valid driving license (driving motorcycle is optional for women).
∎ Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power point) & email browsing
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills and substantial experience in monitoring and evaluation, especially in data/information collection and management, and supervise the staff who are responsible for data/information collection.
∎ Demonstrated skills and proficiency in management, supervision, coordination and collaboration.
∎ Willingness to travel to field areas and work in difficult environment from time to time.
Salary: Tk. 55000 (Monthly)
