Job Responsibilities:
∎ Lead and guide the Area Program Managers and special funded Project Managers and one Upazila Office Team to ensure quality implementation of program interventions to achieve child well-being targets.
∎ Lead and guide the M&E, Technical Specialists, Finance and Sponsorship teams within the APC to ensure quality and compliance to standards.
∎ Ensure cost effective and quality implementation of the programmes in line with WV and donor policies and standards.
∎ Ensure monitoring is conducted, data is analyzed and the team adjusts programme as per learning.
∎ Lead, guide and revise the Area Program design in compliance with guidelines and meet partnership standards.
∎ Ensure high standard of stewardship in resource mobilization, allocation, utilization in compliance with WV Financial Policies and procedures.
∎ Ensure compliance to organizational strategy and policies in program operations.
∎ Facilitate networking between INGOs, local NGOs, UN, Government and other civil society groups to build collaborative network in fighting poverty.
∎ Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as per needs for program development and organizational demand.
∎ Assist Grants acquisition team to increase fund acquisition.
∎ Ensure effective communication system in area Program that ensures timely flow of information among AP Office, RO & National Office.
∎ Build community capacity for the long-term sustainability of WV's interventions.
∎ Develop shared-projects and micro-projects which support the community and partners vision and are in line with WVB strategic priorities and development principles.
∎ Enhance community led & participatory monitoring.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 33 years
∎ Knowledge of development, poverty dynamics, issues and contributing factors.
∎ Strong knowledge and skills on grants project management and grant regulations.
∎ Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Knowledge of resources and tools of development programming.
∎ Proficiency in computer literacy and online tools.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bengali
∎ Demonstrated inter-personal, relationship building and negotiation skills.
∎ Good time management skill and ability to work with minimum supervision.
∎ Have a clear understanding of working relationship with major donors, and able to represent WV to them in a professional manner in English and Bengali.
∎ Practicing innovation/creativity and achieving quality results and service.
∎ At least 5 years of experience in program management/sector coordination in a complex, international organization preferably in NGO context.
∎ Experience in developing concept notes/project proposals.
∎ Proven management ability.
∎ Proven experience as a team player.
∎ Field Office based job.
∎ Frequent field visits to the Field Offices and projects (willing and able to spend 50% of time at Field Office level).
∎ Must be willing and able to travel nationally up to 12 weeks per annum.
∎ Some project locations may be in remote areas. Staff are expected to live in the location.
