Production & Coordination:       

• Coordinate with Production Manager to plan daily targets for linking, trimming and mending sections.        

• Allocate manpower and machines effectively to meet deadlines.      

• Oversee linking operators and members, providing technical support.        

• Ensure proper handling of sweater gauges, yarn types, and patterns.        

• Monitor hourly output and identify performance gaps among menders and linkers.       

• Ensure minimal wastage during the mending process through root cause analysis. 

Quality Control:       

• Monitor linking quality (stitch matching, seam alignment).      

• Supervise mending of defects (holes, skipped stitches, dropped loops).     

• Ensure garments are defect-free before moving to washing/finishing.       

• Conduct regular process inspections.  

Training & Development:      

• Train new operators on techniques and quality standards.       

• Continuously upgrade team skills for efficiency.       

• Establish cross-shift knowledge transfer protocols for consistent quality.       

• Manage attendance, productivity tracking, and performance appraisals. 

Material Handling & Reporting:      

• Ensure correct panels are issued for linking (prevent mismatches).       

• Track garments in linking/mending sections.       

• Maintain daily production/defect reports and analyze rework data.   

Coordination & Workplace:      

• Liaise with maintenance team for timely servicing of linking machines.      

• Liaise with knitting, QC, and finishing departments.     

• Maintain clean, organized work environment.     

• Enforce safety protocols and company policies.      

• Implement 5S practices in the linking and mending floors.
