∎ Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Master of Science (M.Sc) from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Sylhet Agricultural University, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (or any other reputed university) students will get preference.

∎ 6 to 7 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ This is responsible professional and specialist work in planning, directing, and coordinating the overall activities of an Agricultural Station or farm.
∎ Job Location: At present in Dhaka and Keraniganj. May have to go to any other place of Bangladesh when required.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Will be accountable to and tagged with Senior Agriculture Specialist.
∎ Has adequate knowledge and expertise on agricultural farming and plant variations.
∎ Plans, organizes, and manages the operation of a large farm with several major subdivisions such as dairy crops or plants.
∎ Plans and directs the management program of a large agricultural farm.
∎ Supervises the maintenance of farm facilities, machinery, and equipment.
∎ Prepares budget estimates and recommendations for personnel, equipment, and operating supplies.
∎ Plans a wide variety of research programs, experimental projects, and tests with research scientists.
∎ Sets up and adapts research facilities, methods, and procedures.
∎ Plans breeding programs and assists in calving difficulties.
∎
∎ Selects, trains, and supervises farm personnel.
∎ Supervises dairy operations; grows, harvests, and stores forage and grain crops; maintains an appropriate system of pasture management.
∎ Purchases farm supplies and equipment.
∎ Collects samples and records various kinds of research data; prepares research and project reports.
∎ Prepares periodic reports and maintains appropriate files and records.
∎ Performs related work as required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Thorough knowledge of plant management and operations.
∎ Thorough knowledge of plant diseases and of the methods of prevention and cure.
∎ Considerable knowledge of modern agricultural methods and experimental farming practices.
∎ Considerable knowledge of plant research methods, techniques, and procedures.
∎ Considerable knowledge of farm equipment, materials, and maintenance techniques.
∎ Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of subordinate personnel.
∎ Ability to maintain appropriate records and to prepare reports.
∎ Ability to maintain effective working relationships with research scientists, administrative personnel, and fellow employees.
∎ Minimum 6 -7 years of practical experience in the related fields.
