∎ Gross Salary range Monthly Gross Salary BDT 109,626/- to BDT 115,108/-

∎ Duty Station: Head Office, Dhaka.
∎ Job Purpose: The Advocacy Coordinator is a national position and is responsible for leading the development and ensuring the delivery of the above mentioned health programme`s advocacy agenda, ensuring a consistent approach and strategies to advocacy across the consortium. S/he should possess the vision, energy and passion for affecting change at national and local levels, building networks and relationships with a variety of stakeholders including government stakeholders and policy makers, donors, CSOs and others. The incumbent shall coordinate with other partners and stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop advocacy strategy linked to consortium's advocacy priorities that identify and tackles critical factors impacting the disadvantaged population and people with disabilities
∎ To lead, develop and deliver the advocacy plan involving all consortium partners
∎ Ensure that programme based advocacy staff and partners have a sound understanding of how to identify and tackle advocacy issues within their activities, through providing effective training, knowledge and resources
∎ Ensure that advocacy objectives of the consortium have been achieved maintaining highest quality and standards. Engage with Programme Implementation Unit (PIU) on major advocacy issues, ensuring support for key strategic campaigns
∎ Ensure consistent approaches to advocacy across the consortium by leading the advocacy focal group and represent for further strengthening the effectiveness of existing networks within Bangladesh amongst key advocacy partners, sectoral actors, networks, forums and issue specific national level conventions & platforms
∎ Engage and closely work with advocacy partners of the health programme i.e. relevant CSO networks, all party Parliamentary Group (APPG), the Parliament, Ministry of Health and family Welfare, Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Finance and City Corporations for influencing pro-poor change and decisions
∎ Develop advocacy policy briefs to sensitise national, divisional and district level health and local government officials
∎ Take the lead and independently facilitate/organize national advocacy events on the rights, entitlements and gaps of disadvantaged population and people with disabilities ensuring participation of relevant ministries, policy makers and other state actors
∎ Ensure the widest possible range of relevant tools and techniques including stakeholder mapping, prioritisation tools and emphasis on pro poor advocacy processes amongst staff are used by all Programme Implementation Unit (PIU) staff contributing to effective advocacy
∎ Ensure research on the effectiveness of advocacy tools is undertaken and feedback into advocacy activities
∎ Ensure that information on best practice, innovative approaches and changes in advocacy approaches successfully impact the disadvantaged population and people with disabilities, documented and shared with relevant stakeholders
∎ As a member of the Consortium team, to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellence is captured, promoted and disseminated
∎ Enabling a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's HR policies, Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated policies and Core Humanitarians Standards to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least eight (08) years progressively responsible professional work experience in a development organisation/non-government organization (preferably that carries out Health focused programmes). Among which two (02) years should be in leadership and Strategic role
∎ At least 5 years' experience in advocacy with a proven ability to apply advocacy techniques for pro-poor development at local and national levels.
∎ Experience of working together with the highest level of policy makers in Bangladesh i.e. The Parliament, APPGs, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Local Government, Large City Corporations etc.
∎ Knowledge and skills in applied approaches of advocacy at strategic levels.
∎ Experience of training and development of staff capacity.
