Job Context:
∎ SOGIESC people often confront stigma, prejudice, discrimination and sometimes violence based on their gender identity. The Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights report also documented widespread discrimination in employment, education, health and other areas of SOGIESC persons around the world.
∎ The Advocacy Coordinator will represent BANDHU in national level; will advocate with officials from governments, companies, the United Nations, and other regional and international bodies; will foster and strengthen partnerships with other human rights and civil society organizations, particularly local partners; and will lead collaborations in the human rights movement.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist in designing, planning and implementing advocacy strategy and campaigns aiming to achieve Project/BANDHU goals.
∎ Contribute in developing policy formulation and advocacy related strategies and implementation procedures.
∎ Prepare monthly work plan for advocacy activities at the field office level/Youth Centre and implement the activities as per the approved work plan.
∎ Ensure effective liaise and network within inter and intra organizations working on human rights issues and update the progress as you instructed from line management.
∎ Maintain effective network with CSOs and CBOs including Law enforcement agencies, Human Rights organizations, Civil society and ensure valuable presence as BANDHU representative in workshops/seminars/symposium or any other program.
∎ Engage and build working relationships with SOGIESC organizations and advocates.
∎ Make sure that necessary documentation on violence, abuse and harassment data relevant to concern project objective is updated and submit compiled report to line management on time
∎ Coordinate in collecting, managing and analyzing research material related on Advocacy for BANDHU programs.
∎ In communication with Public Relation and the communication focal of the organization, develop and keep smooth relationship with both Print and Electronic media and organize dialogue with the media and related organizations as and when required.
∎ Coordinate in organizing meetings/rallies or observing any events as per instruction of BANDHU.
∎ Developing IEC materials related to HR (i.e. Booklet, leaflet, poster, sticker etc)
∎ Contribute in managing articles, writing for Newsletter or Annual report or any kinds of publications and publish as well as disseminate accordingly.
∎ Draft and circulate press release of various events undertaken by the project and Organization.
∎ Produce periodic progress reports as per work plan/required by the line manager and management and ensure timely deliverable.
∎ Provide active support to line management to review activity plan, working procedures, strategies revision as and when required and ensure proper coordination with other fellow colleagues of the department across the organization.
∎ Contribute to develop, design or review training policy/procedures, training modules, manuals, session plan, and manage training/other events consulting with Program Coordinator.
∎ Identify training needs of concern staff and design, organize and conduct sessions.
∎ Assist in reviewing training feedback for improving its quality and contents.
∎ Ensure proper documentation of all records of training, assessment, evaluation, impact and reports etc.
∎ Assist in designing and implementing an effective system for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of advocacy activities.
∎ Perform any other duties that may be assigned by management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Good knowledge in the utilization of Microsoft office programs
∎ Understands political, economic, social, legal and environmental contexts in the country that affecting our sector
∎ Analytical skills on knowledge generation and documentation of best practices
∎ Knowledge and skills on producing reports and writing case studies.
∎ Ability to interact professionally with a diverse population
∎ Ability to exercise flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
∎ Evidence of good judgment and decision-making in dealing with challenging situations and management of escalated issues
∎ Ability to work within a team
∎ Excellent written/verbal communication (English plus Bangla languages).
∎ Demonstrate organization and project management skills
∎ Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to safeguarding in a local and international context.
∎ Passionate about sexual reproductive health care rights plus justice.
∎ Supportive of people’s rights regardless of sexuality or gender identity/expression and supportive of worker’s rights and access to health care.
∎ Having analytical skills and able to plan, evaluate and meet deadlines

Salary: Tk. 56892 (Monthly)
