Job Context:
∎ This position is a sensitive and detailed work oriented, responsible for overseeing a wide range of Accounts, Finance and policymaking. The position will serve as a point to establish a good accounting practice as per International Accounting Standard (IAS), International Financial Reporting standard (IFRS) as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP). This incumbent will report to the General Manager of AEF with dotted line to the Director of Finance of AEF, with a parallel line to the Director of Finance, Agami Inc. (USA).

∎ Job Title: Accounts & Finance Manager (may require up to 10% travel)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and maintain accounting systems;
∎ Recording all types of transactions like voucher, ledger, schedule and other necessary work;
∎ Lead, manage and monitor accounting functions;
∎ Develop, generate and manage monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly accounting reports;
∎ Ensure reconciliation of Bank accounts and other accounts on monthly basis;
∎ Create management tools that effectively monitor accounting processes;
∎ Assist the accounting team to prepare financial statements, budgeting and reporting;
∎ Generate various analyses and financial reports for the management;
∎ Monitor and manage the month-end accounting processes;
∎ Manage budgets for departments, projects and grants;
∎ Monitor month-end reports, schedules, payments and receipts;
∎ Prepare and control the payroll as per policy;
∎ Create and monitor an effective internal audit system;
∎ Ensure timely completion of annual regulatory audit;
∎ Maintain, update and monitor inventory records;
∎ Monthly depreciation calculation;
∎ Establish a good Tax & Vat practice as per Act and Ordinance;
∎ Establish, operate and update the accounting software (QuickBooks);
∎ Monitor the proper utilization of funds and grants;
∎ Establish the procurement process as per policy;
∎ Submit all types of returns as required by NBR, NGOAB, Bangladesh Bank, RJSC, etc.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least five years working experience in relevant field;
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): NGO, Multinational Companies, and/or Group of Companies.
∎ Income Tax Practitioner (ITP) preferable;
∎ Both Male and Female candidates are encouraged to apply;
∎ Excellent communication skills in English (speaking, writing and reading);
∎ Proven working experience as Accounts Manager/ Deputy Manager;
∎ Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases;
∎ Proven knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping and reporting;
∎ Experience in using QuickBooks accounting software.
∎ Additional Information:
∎ An applicant should be Bangladeshi passport holder or legally entitled to work in Bangladesh.
∎ All necessary background checks as per the AEF pre-Appointment Screening Policy will need to be completed successfully prior to signing the final appointment letter. Salary:
∎ Tk. 30,000 – 40,000 Monthly gross salary, depending on skills and experience.

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Salary Review: Yearly
∎ Two Festival bonus (50% of basic monthly salary after completion of one year)
∎ Mobile allowance depending on the nature of the appointment – regular full-time, consultant, etc.
