Diploma in Pattern & Garment construction technology will get preference

Experience and Educational Requirements

• Graduate in Fashion Design / Textile Technology from a well reputed institution

• Diploma in Pattern & Garment construction technology will get preference

• 3 – 5 years’ experience in 3D modelling in the Apparel industry working with a brand, liaison office or sourcing office will get preference

• Candidates who have undergone training with 3D pattern software companies (CLO/ OPTITEX) will get preference

• Knowledge of Shima Seiki 3D and 2D pattern making will be an advantage

• Should be able to work on both Mac and Windows PC

Additional Job Requirements

• Strong understanding of styling, construction, fabric, and fit for accuracy

• IT proficiency – CLO, OPTITEX, ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR / IN DESIGN

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships and work as a team

• Should be well-groomed, smart, and energetic

• Strong presentation and delivery skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection

• Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English

• Proficient in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Job Context

The 3D Technical Designer holds the accountability for virtual sampling by constructing apparel in 3D using the modelling software called CLO3D and will work closely with our designers to create the highest-quality fashion and motion graphic visuals for our customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Creating 3D animations based on design/Tech pack using 3D software (CLO)

• Communicate with customers for 3D-related issues

• Adapt design concepts into 3D CAD systems to make design, pattern, and 3D sampling

• Develop and test fitting and function in 3D

• Conduct virtual fit adjustments on 3D scan dummies, according to style, fabric, and activity

• Work on automated process updates with corrections and modifications in real time

• Research new methods, critical and analytical evaluation, to minimize the wastage of fabric

• Implement a time study for each process in the 3D pattern and fit module, to analyze system speed and efficiency

• Coordinate and monitor quality of the product through quality personnel

• Maintain Time and Action (T&A) plan and ensure on-time shipment for all orders

• Select and visit different fabric/textile mills, production, printing, washing factories and build long-term relationships for current and future orders

• Regularly evaluate factory performance and source and develop new factories as per requirements

• Recommend any changes to the products or process improvements, which can help make production friendlier for construction without changing the aesthetics of the garment

• Conduct production meetings with the factories and QA team as per the allocated time and follow up with the factories on the progress of the orders

• Analyze customer progress report in terms of growth/shortcomings/product and price points, get customer feedback on inquiries and close the orders with clarity on cost/ margin

• Review new tech packs and developments to identify any critical points and provide the right details to the factory

• Ensure all customer requirements are met in production based on customer tech packs

• Understand ethical behavior and business practices and ensure own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization
