Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Organization for the Poor Community Advancement "OPCA" is a local voluntary, non-profitable, non-political and development organization in Bangladesh. It started journey from Mirsarai Upazila under Chittagong district since 1992. Now OPCA is working in Chittagong region i.e. Chittagong, Cox`s Bazar, Noakhali, Laxmipur, Chandpur, Brahmanbari district and CHT.
∎ Since August 2017, the heavy influx of Rohingya refugees into Cox`s Bazaar has required an emergency response in accordance with OPCA`s humanitarian mandate to meet the needs of crisis-affected populations in the poorest communities. OPCA is going to implemented GBV Project for Myanmar Refugee Response under partnership with CARE Bangladesh which funded by Germany Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To responding the crisis and effectively oversee all operations of the project need to recruit of four (4) Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) Facilitator.
∎ Position: Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) Facilitator
∎ Vacancy: 04 (Female only)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) Facilitator will be responsible for:
∎ Assist the Response Officer with the day-to-day operations of the WGSS.
∎ Facilitate or lead educational, psychosocial and recreational activities for women and girls in the WGSSs.
∎ Ensure that WGSS activities are conducted in agreement with the WGSS rules, guidelines and are culturally appropriate.
∎ Provide WGSS attendees with information regarding the available services at the WGSS.
∎ Track and report on attendance of the different WGSS activities.
∎ Track and report on supply utilization at the WGSS.
∎ Ensure that the WGSS is kept in a clean and orderly manner, noting any damage or need for replacement items.
∎ Persons with skills in sewing, knitting, embroidery, drawing, and craft-making are encouraged to apply.
∎ Persons with a background in teaching, literacy classes, religious studies, and
∎ women's health are encouraged to apply
∎ Perform all other duties, as needed or requested by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ 1-2 years' experience with a minimum of one year's work experience of GBV in emergencies, protection, and gender programming.
∎ Excellent communication and group facilitation skills.
∎ Knowledgeable in GBV and women's rights.
∎ Practical experience working with refugees, IDPs, women and girls, and implementing programs in vulnerable communities.
∎ Understands the challenges and obstacles women and girls face regarding cultural practices, norms, and society pressures.
∎ Understands sensitivities of conducting outreach and awareness on violence related issues.
∎ Ability to communicate sensitively and without judgment.
∎ Positive and professional attitude, including ability to work well in team setting.
∎ Emotional maturity and stability to deal with conflict and confrontation in non-violent way and maintain appropriate boundaries.
∎ Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, and age sensitivity and adaptability.
∎ Good communication and facilitation skills to work on sensitive topics.
∎ REQUIRED: Fluent communication skills in both verbal and written Bangla, Rohingya/Chitagonian. English advantage.

Salary: Tk. 19900 (Monthly)
