Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc. degree/diploma in Civil engineering/ water supply and sanitation engineering or related fields
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support WASH Coordinators ( Engineering/ WASH Engineers on implementation /rehabilitation of different types of WASH facilities including review the design, drawing, BoQ .Prepare Work plan along with WASH Coordinator ( Engineering) & ensure timely and effective implementation.
∎ Support SCM/Logistic for quotations collection, quotation evaluation in terms of Engineering perspective, contractor selection, contracts signing, orders, work order issue and purchases.
∎ Technical supervision and crosschecking of hardware construction materials of water & sanitation facilities before installation with specifications, drawing, design quality and quantity.
∎ Conduct regular monitoring and full technical supervision and provide technical inputs to the Engineers.
∎ Develop details O&M plan for different WASH facilities
∎ Track the PR raise by program team and strong follow-up with SCM
∎ Prepare 4W matrix for WASH Cluster and represent WV in Technical Working Groups (TWiG), in consultation with WASH Sector Lead.
∎ Support the WASH Coordinators to engage actively in Field Level Working Groups and position WV as a Lead WASH agency.
∎ Support WASH Sector Lead with oversight and tracking of the program budgets.
∎ Work with the WASH Sector Lead to submit grant reports to donors.
∎ Work with the WASH Sector Lead to review monthly budget reports, together with Finance team.
∎ Exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity and a dynamic personal sense of life calling
Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge and Skill on:
∎ Decentralised water (i.e. water system/network) and sanitation infrastructures
∎ Design (and calculate: hydraulic) pipeline system
∎ Advanced skills and experiences on AutoCAD and other Civil Engineering software
∎ Ability to train and increase capacity of engineers
∎ Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
∎ Thorough knowledge of MS office and Lotus Notes
∎ Commitment to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement
∎ Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local culture context
∎ Agreement with World Vision’s Christian ethos
∎ Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible world view, emotional maturity and physical stamina
∎ Experience in rural or decentralized water and sanitation infrastructures at least 3 years
∎ Must be willing and able to travel nationally up to 40% of the time
∎ Some project locations may be in remote areas. Staff is expected to live in the location for short periods
