Job Context:
∎ The Alliance for Combating TB in Bangladesh Project will develop a dynamic, strategic and fresh approach to accelerate Bangladesh’s fight against TB. The solutions will be aimed at creating an environment aligned with the universal health coverage (UHC) vision and focused on defined priority areas- increased TB detection, decentralized DR-TB management, child TB, expanded prevention and others. Supported by USAID and Partners of consortium led by icddr,b.
∎ -One Year Contractual Appointment (With Possibility of Extension)
∎ -Start Date- as soon as possible
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Collection of Information (Index TB Patient) from Upazila Coordinator.
∎ • Prepare Monthly Work Plan and submit to Upazila Coordinator.
∎ • Visit Index TB Patient as per plan for TPT Screening through maintaining Proper Screening tools/ CI form or TAB.
∎ • Ensure regular update of CI form/ Screening tools and TAB as per Household visit.
∎ • Conduct Extended CI among Index Patient’s Surroundings for Presumptive TB.
∎ • Identify and collect Presumptive TB for test by Microscopy/ X-part or X-ray if symptomatic of TB found during screening.
∎ • Bring Household members of Index TB Patients in DOT Centre for X-ray.
∎ • Bring Household members of Index TB Patients in DOT Centre for MT/TST result.
∎ • Bring the eligible person for TPT enrollment by Medical Officer.
∎ • Conduct 3 Times follow up of TPT with maintaining TPT follow up sheet.
∎ • Active Case findings in selected Tea garden.
∎ • She/he will ensure effective garden and community in relation with different Community program involving community people by the support of Upazila Coordinator.
∎ • Arrange different program at Community and upazila level with the help of Upazila Coordinator.
∎ • Provide accurate data and report as per plan to Upazila Coordinator.
∎ • Counseling and regular follow up of TPT enrolled person.
∎ • Organize TPT Camp at Community and UHC with coordination of Upazila Coordinator and DOT center.
∎ • Gather person eligible for X-ray, MT and TPT for Vehicle Support and provide the schedule to Upazila Coordinator.
∎ • Responsible for maintaining linkage, liaison and coordination with DOTs center, DOTs providers, TLCA, MT-Lab, HA, HI and TCA and different gatekeeper at the project area with the consultation of Upazila Coordinator.
∎ • Performance of Contract tracing , Screening for presumptive ,household visit , referral of TB Presumptive for X-ray , Sputum collection for Gene X-part and microscopy
∎ • Assigned responsibilities as per need of TPT activities and Project need.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ • Good computer skills on MS Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
∎ • Able to undertake travel as required.
∎ • Experience in TB Control project or related project.
∎ • Experience in USAID Project will be an advantage
Salary: Tk. 5000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Travel: 2,500 (Based on movement and travel plan), Mobile allowance 300/-
