Additional Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience in video editing and graphic design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong storytelling sense with an understanding of pacing, sound, and visual impact
- Basic animation and motion graphics skills are a plus
- Knowledge of social media content formats (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience working in a news, media, or content-driven environment is highly preferred
- Bonus Skills (Not Mandatory)Photography or cinematography experience
- UI/UX or web design knowledge
- Experience with Canva, Figma, or other design tools
- Understanding of SEO for video and visual content
Responsibilities & Context:
- Edit and produce engaging videos for news stories, interviews, social media content, and feature pieces
- Design eye-catching thumbnails, infographics, and promotional visuals for articles and social platforms
- Collaborate with journalists, content writers, and social media managers to bring stories to life visually
- Maintain visual consistency across platforms and ensure all media content aligns with brand identity
- Stay up to date with the latest design and video editing trends, tools, and best practices
- Deliver projects on tight deadlines while maintaining high production quality
