Experience:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or BSc in Vet. Science & AH. Will get preference who obtained post-graduation in Medicine or Surgery or Gynecology, Obstetrics & Andrology
Registered with the Bangladesh Veterinary Council.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in dairy or Ruminant farms preferred.
Proficient in diagnosing and treating common dairy cattle diseases.
On-site role with irregular hours, including weekends and emergencies.
Physical work involving animal handling and outdoor conditions.
Strong knowledge of bovine medicine and dairy herd management.
Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills.
Good communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to work in a rural environment and handle emergencies.
Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting.
1. Animal Health Management
Conduct regular health checks and physical examinations of dairy cattle, buffalo & small ruminant
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and infections.
Implement preventive healthcare programs including vaccination, deworming, and parasite control.
2. Reproductive Health
Monitor and manage cattle breeding programs.
Conduct artificial insemination (AI) or assist with it as needed.
Monitor pregnancy, assist with calving, and manage postnatal care.
3. Nutrition and Welfare
Provide input on animal nutrition to ensure optimal productivity and health.
Monitor feed intake and body condition scores.
Promote and implement animal welfare best practices.
4. Disease Control and Biosecurity
Identify and report any outbreak of notifiable diseases.
Implement biosecurity protocols to minimize disease transmission.
Maintain proper medical records for all livestock.
5. Record Keeping & Reporting
Maintain accurate health, treatment, vaccination, and breeding records.
Generate regular reports for farm management on herd health status.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification standards (e.g., food safety, organic certification).
6. Training & Supervision
Train farm workers on basic animal handling, hygiene, and first aid.
Supervise farmhands when performing veterinary-related activities.
7. Liaison & Compliance
Coordinate with local veterinary departments, labs, and suppliers.
Ensure the farm meets local and national regulations for animal health and welfare.
