- Must have BSc & MSc in Nutrition and Food Science with valid registration from a recognized institution. An MPH degree will add an extra advantage.

Additional Requirements: 3- years experience in nutrition projects with INGO/NGO/UN and related field experience in CMAM.
Experience with working in nutrition-sensitive and nutrition-specific programming.
Good verbal and written skills in Bangla & English, with local language preferable
Ability to work effectively under stress in a challenging camp environment.
Flexibility to take on additional tasks and initiative when necessary.
Cultural sensitivity, empathy, and awareness of the target population’s needs.
Responsibilities & Context: Job Context
The Upazilla Nutrition Coordinator will serve as the administrative and programmatic coordinator of the GK-Integrated Maternal and Child Nutrition (IMCN) program at the Upazilla level of Moheshkhali and Pekua Upazilla. The role includes technical, management, and administrative activities in consultation with the Nutrition Coordinator and Coordinating with the Upazilla Health focal, UNO, and other relevant stakeholders.
Job Location: Office-based in Moheshkhali/Pekua, with occasional field visits as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Assistant Nutrition coordinator in the overall planning, implementation, and monitoring of the project
- Ensure effective management of all the components of the project. timely delivery and ensure quality
- Assist the project coordinator with the creation and any modification of planning
- Ensure successful implementation and effective management of the project activities
- Ensure effective management of project supply and follow-up.
- Assess the programmatic & technical expertise of the field staff and develop plans for capacity-building
- Plan capacity-building & establish formal training programs for capacity capacity-building of volunteers
- Make sure supervisees receive on-the-job training to ensure policy and rules are followed
- Encourage cooperation between MoHFW, stakeholders, leaders, and representatives of the community
- Ensure monitoring and timely reporting from the supervisor and all components in place
- Collaborate with the team, network, and coordinate with the relevant sector
- Draft quarterly narrative, annual reports, and reports on the accomplishment of the budget for funders
- Document and file information according to donor requirements.
- Ensure document evidence-based lessons learned, successes, and challenges
- Keep in touch with donors as per instruction
- Ensure organizational policies and donor compliances are in place
Program Support Activities:
- Ensure technical support to all field-level activities according to guidelines / Protocols for smooth & effective program operations
- Support for preparing a complete updated beneficiary list for upazila level
- Ensure there is no untouched area/ beneficiary at the respective site of intervention
- Provide technical support to staff ensuring objectives and activities are smoothly and effectively implemented at the field level
- Ensure security protocols for teams both when in office and field areas
- Take part in managing any conflict relating to program activities or staff
- Support program coordinator to develop planning documents (Scope documents, DIP, budgets, forecast, proposals, IEC materials, etc.), regular revision of those
- Provide technical support to maintain program databases and create reports and other documents for the upazila level
- Ensure integration with other existing health and nutrition interventions
- Ensure gender, protection, and humanitarian principles is carried throughout the implementation period in line with project activities
Monitoring & Evaluation support
- Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and make data-driven improvements
- To monitor the field-level program activities and prepare action plans based on the findings regularly
- To analyze the reports of the facilities to identify gaps and take corrective measures on a regular/monthly basis
- Ensuring that stock at the facility level is sufficient and properly stock-maintained food items, nonfood items, and inventory
Capacity strengthening support
- Identify field-level training needs, training plan and support program coordinator to arrange capacity-building events based on the gaps
- Plan capacity-building & establish formal training programs for the capacity-building of volunteers
- Facilitate training if required
Meeting, Coordination, and collaboration
- Develop a productive working relationship with upazila, union, and field-level coordination with MoHFW and other stakeholders
- To ensure proper coordination and collaboration with relevant NGO & GO staff at the field level to ensure a proper referral mechanism is in place
- Development of a network with other actors in the area as well as community leaders/representatives
Nutrition supplies and stock management
- Evaluate project need of protocol, IEC material & Printing items and ensure all facility-level
- Ensure all supplies at the facility level and follow up on all materials
- Checking all the supplies are listed in the register
- Support program for proper utilization of resources.
- Ensuring that stock at the facility level is sufficient and properly stock-maintained food items, nonfood items, and inventory
Reporting& Documentation
- Collection and prepare community mobilization, school nutrition, and health education reports by taking close support from UNS
- Prepare monthly distribution plan, and support to prepare outreach plan, activity plan of field level staff
- Submit a monthly statistical report for TSFP, GMP, and School activity to the Project Coordinator on time
- To submit the SFR report to the line manager within the 3rd week of each of the month
- To submit the kobo report (center & outreach monitoring, materials & Home visit) to the respective channel for each of the visits.
Special Note:
- The Assistant Nutrition Coordinator may be assigned additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Nutrition Coordinator of GK
- The job description is subject to modification in consultation with the incumbent, based on organizational needs.
