Responsibilities:

• Perform X-rays and deliver them to the right patient

• Maintain a register of patients

• Sterility and cleanliness

• Ensure the functionality of the equipment

• Ensure the safety of patient and own self.

• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality

Activities:

Overall Management:

• Meet and greet every patient.

• Maintaining the daily patient register for the X-Ray Unit.

• Ensure all the X-ray service entries are available in the software.

• Prepare report as per doctors’ instructions & deliver to Report delivery section/doctors on duty.

• Ensure the correct patient, the correct side, and the correct procedure before performing the procedure.

• Prepare Patient for x-ray with proper counseling & position and privacy.

Technical responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly/quarterly requisitions of reagents, stationery, surgical & consumable items for the X-Ray Unit.

• Informing the Hospital Manager/line manager about any problem regarding the equipment and maintain Down-Time register.

• Prepare a monthly report and send it to the person in charge of reporting.

• Prepare & maintain roster duty.

• Any work assigned as per advice from higher authority.

Quality Assurances:

• Maintain & monitor infection prevention procedures as per protocol.

• Ensure the safety of the patient during x ray expoused.

• Maintain a daily departmental quality checklist and preserve it.

Client care issues:

• Need to show empathy to the patient while performing any procedure

• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality during the procedure.

 Skill and Competencies:

• Diploma in Medical Technology (X-ray) from a recognized IHT.

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

• Excellent communication skills and desire to learn.

• High commitment & motivation to work in remote places, especially in riverine areas  

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Good teamwork exposure.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is another prerequisite.
