Job Responsibilities:
∎ Upazila Coordinator (UC) will report to Deputy Director Program, Shushilan (Focal Person);
∎ Preparation of detail implementation plan (DIP) through engaging project staff and considering local context and project outcomes.
∎ Ensure that project targets are achieved as per planned schedule and design specification.
∎ S/he will look after the day to day activities of all level of project staff and monitor individual performance, and provide guidance to improve their performance as and when necessary.
∎ Coordinate in achieving programmatic objectives; planning, implementation and progress monitoring, budget utilization and ensure approval and endorsement of all plans;
∎ Responsible for managing the program, admin, logistics and finance team in implementing the project;
∎ Prepare narrative periodical reports and documents the project outcomes;
∎ Responsible for preparing budget and taking lead to control all resources under his jurisdiction;
∎ Ensure internal control of budget and provide justification of budget variance;
∎ Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual work plan and reports to accomplish the targeted activities;
∎ He/she will ensure the process and method of structured participatory monitoring and evaluation system of the project;
∎ Provide support to the Training Officer and Project Engineer in implementing the project activities at field level;
∎ Manage staffs and organize all staff meeting;
∎ Ensure all resources mobilization and proper utilization following the Shushilan and donor’s compliance;
∎ Provide guidance to Training Officer for conducting ToT and trainings
∎ Provide high level supervisory and managerial support to the project team for developing their technical skills and professional competencies;
∎ Conduct need based and periodical meetings with the staff and other stakeholders and ensure record keeping and dissemination;
∎ Organize monthly/quarterly meetings for reviewing progress, staff performance and ensure support to overcome gaps in achieving project results, document and share meeting notes to relevant stakeholders.
∎ Capture field information, prepare case-studies, update database and prepare reports for internal and external sharing.
∎ Regular monitoring of expenditure, analysis of financial report, truck and maintain co-relation between budget and program plan.
∎ Maintain gender and equality following the organizational policy and practice.
∎ Respect, maintain and monitor code of conduct practice;
∎ All kind of positive motivation to support and response in emergency;
∎ In addition to that any other duties and responsibilities may assigned by the authority / organization which need to be carried out.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Minimum of 8 years working experiences in management position in the field of life skills development, civil construction/renovation work, Education environment, education quality improvement and development project in Bangladesh with NGOs.
∎ Demonstrated capacity in project management with conceptual understanding
∎ Understand and experienced on life skills education in high schools/Madrasa
∎ Strong understanding of key aspects of education environment, quality improvement and school management
∎ Strong understanding on civil construction/renovation work
∎ Team building capacity
∎ Ability to meet deadline
∎ Extensively field oriented, positive attitude and committed to work hard
∎ Self-motivated
∎ Strong critical and analytical thinking capabilities
∎ Ability to work effectively with people of different age, gender, education and background
∎ Ability to communicate information effectively
∎ Ability to establish strong relationships with stakeholders Friendly, approachable personality
∎ Strong critical and analytical thinking capabilities
∎ Written and oral communications skills in English and Bengali
∎ Computer literacy, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
∎ Practicing gender, PSEA, Safeguarding, code of conduct and cultural diversity
∎ Ability to drive a motorbike with valid motorbike license
Salary: Tk. 50000 (Monthly)
