Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nutrition, Master of Science (MSc) in Nutrition
∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nutrition or relevant.
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Nutrition/ MPH with Bachelor of Science in Nutrition will be preferred.

Job Context:
∎ Society for Health Extension and Development (SHED) a National NGO working in Cox`s Bazar district is inviting applications from suitable candidates for its Programme title `Improving Maternal and Child Nutrition (IMCN) and Community based Management of Acute Severe Malnutrition at Host Community-Cox`s Bazar. The Programme is jointly funded by WFP & ACF. SHED is looking for qualified candidates for the post.
∎ Responsible for leading community-based nutrition activities including screening and referral of wasting cases, follow-up home visits, coordination and liaison at field level, supportive supervision and reporting. This position will also support in Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP), Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP), IYCF and CMAM research project activities at field level.

∎ Report to: Upazila Nutrition Coordinator
∎ Supervise to: Union Outreach Supervisor (UOS)
∎ Job Location: At anywhere in Teknaf Upazila.
∎ Duration: Till 31st December-2023 with a high possibility of extension.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the nutrition programs in Host Community in all planning, implementation, monitoring, accountability and quality assurance to attain the expected successful outcomes.
∎ Support to develop capacity building plans according to results of capacity assessment and execute suitable capacity building strategies to Union Outreach Supervisors/ Community Nutrition Workers/Community Nutrition Volunteers through support to organize formal trainings and supportive supervision.
∎ Supportive supervision to the frontline staff to ensure the community level Sensitization & Mobilization activities (Male Forum, MA soma bash, CG/CSG group meeting, UP meeting etc.)
∎ Ensure technical support to all field level activities according to guidelines / Protocols for smooth & effective program operations.
∎ Ensure security protocols for teams both when in office and field areas.
∎ Take part to manage any conflict relating program activities or staff.
∎ Identify field level training needs and support program coordinator to arrange capacity building events based on the gaps.
∎ Ensure Upazila, union and field level coordination with Upazila Nutrition Coordinator, Union Nutrition Supervisor as well as MoHFW / Secondary Education and other stakeholders.
∎ Development of network with other actors in the area as well as community leaders/representatives.
∎ Provide technical support to maintain program databases and creating reports and other documents for Upazila level.
∎ Ensure gender, protection and humanitarian principal is carrying throughout the implementation period in line with project activities.
∎ Capacity building
∎ Provide on the job training to the supervisees to ensure protocol and guideline.
∎ Facilitate formal training for volunteers / Teachers / Model Mother/ field staff if needed.
∎ Assess technical capacity of the field level staff and plan to improve capacity.
∎ Other Responsibilities:
∎ Support program for proper utilization of resources
∎ Participate documentation process for all relevant information / documents / formats according to Donors requirement.
∎ Respect the dignity of the target group, caregivers and members of the community.
∎ Ensure Field monitoring of both Upazila in every month in equal.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Report Collection from Union outreach supervisor and data analysis of community sensitization & Mobilization, School Nutrition & Health Education session report, Adolescent Club activities report taking close support from UNS.
∎ Monthly Program Report Compilation and submission to line Manager.
∎ Strengthen nutrition information system through data documentation, monitoring coverage & quality of report with nutrition data elements.
∎ Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports of the nutrition programs and provide support in mitigating the gaps and quality improvement.
∎ Prepare Upazila level meeting / events / situation report and shared timely to Line Manager.
∎ Collaborate within team, Coordination and External Representation
∎ Act as a focal point for community leaders and members. Collect feedback and complaints and report back following CFRM guideline
∎ Attend CiC and other field level meetings as requested by the line managers
∎ Liaise with other partners providing nutrition and health activities in the nutrition site catchment area for good coordination of outreach activities
∎ Refer to the Deputy/Programme Manager before making any verbal or written commitment
∎ Enable a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, and conduct regular meetings with program staffs to discuss and document lessons learned
∎ Ensure organizational policies and donor compliances are in place
∎ Orient team members on the Complaint Feedback Mechanism (CFM) and functional CFM at field level following SoP
∎ Be aware of, understand and comply with all of SHED's policies and procedures (P4, finance, logistics, HR, security management, PSEA etc.
∎ Besides, Deputize Upazila Nutrition Coordinator. Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the line manager(s).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 2-3 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of community mobilization with a bias in CMAM, and MIYCN.
∎ For extra ordinary/promising candidates, experience can be flexible.
∎ Age Limit: Maximum upto 35 Years (on 11/11/2023), but for highly potential candidate (s) age can be flexible.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel to project locations and stay at the field if required
∎ Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions like long distance walking to sites.
∎ Excellent spoken and written Local and English languages.
∎ Good facilitation and mobilization skill.
∎ Good interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Experience in closely working in project location is advantageous
∎ Previous experience working in CMAM is an asset
∎ Knowledge of local dialects (Cox's Bazar region dialect is an asset.)

Salary: Tk. 62000 (Monthly)
