Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assist in gathering donor intelligence and funding opportunities through research, online platforms, and internal tools (e.g., HubSpot, PAMS).
∎ Support the preparation of concept notes, proposals, donor briefs, and offer documents by collecting and organizing technical inputs.
∎ Help coordinate internal proposal development activities by maintaining schedules, meeting notes, and document versions.
∎ Participate in fundraising campaigns, events, and proposal design workshops as a learning and support member.
∎ Assist with maintaining up-to-date records of donor and partner information and track fundraising performance metrics.
∎ Support communication with partners and donors, including scheduling meetings, preparing briefs, and drafting follow-ups.
∎ Help develop presentation decks, basic graphics, and communication materials for showcasing project results and future opportunities.
∎ Provide logistical and documentation support for partnership meetings, design sessions, and proposal review processes.
∎ Learn and support basic compliance checking of proposals and funding applications against donor requirements.
∎ Conduct field visits or project site documentation (as required) to support storytelling and donor reporting.
∎ Collaborate with thematic and MEL teams in collecting data, success stories, and learning for reports and proposals.
∎ The Trainee–Business Development and Fundraising, based in Dhaka, will support the implementation of business development and fundraising activities at Practical Action Bangladesh. The trainee will assist in maintaining effective engagement with donors, partners, and internal teams, contributing to the development of funding proposals and fundraising strategies. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in fundraising and business development within the international development sector.
