Role Summary:
The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) is iFarmer Bangladesh's primary commercial representative in the field, responsible for building and growing the agri-machinery business within an assigned territory. Based at the Machinery Sales & Service Centre (MSC) in Rangpur, the TSM owns the full sales cycle for agricultural machinery and spare parts, and ensures that every machine sold is backed by reliable, timely after-sales service.
This is a high-ownership, field-first role. The TSM is expected to be out in the territory, visiting machinery owners, demonstrating machines, closing deals, following up on after-sales issues, and building iFarmer's reputation as the most trusted machinery partner in the market. The Machinery Sales & Service Centre is a base of operations, not a desk job.
A. Machinery Sales
Own and drive monthly sales targets across all new machinery categories: power tillers, combine harvesters, reapers, mini tillers, threshers, maize shellers, power sprayers, foot-pump sprayers, choppers, milking machines, and aerators.
Identify, qualify, and close prospective buyers through proactive field outreach — do not wait for walk-ins.
Conduct product demonstrations at suitable sites and on farmer plots to build purchase confidence.
Present the full iFarmer value proposition — machine quality, the after-sales service bundle, and financing access — not price alone.
Maintain an active, up-to-date sales pipeline; report lead status and conversion progress weekly.
B. Spare Parts Sales
Actively sell spare parts to machinery service providers (MSPs) and mechanics, both at the MSC and through proactive territory visits.
Monitor stock levels and flag restocking requirements.
Promote genuine, iFarmer-verified spare parts as a quality alternative to counterfeit bazaar parts; educate MSPs on the cost of using substandard parts.
Track which parts move fastest by machine type and season; share demand intelligence with HQ for procurement planning.
C. After-Sales Service & Technical Support
Conduct structured post-sale follow-up on every machine sold — a minimum of one visit within 30 days of purchase.
Coordinate with the lead mechanic and field mechanics to resolve machine breakdowns promptly, targeting resolution within 48 hours.
Ensure all repairs use genuine spare parts sourced from MSC inventory; track parts used per service job.
Maintain a service log for every machine sold, recording purchase date, follow-up dates, issues reported, parts replaced, and mechanic assigned.
D. MSC Operations & Reporting
Ensure the center is presentable, well-organised, and operational at all times — stock displayed correctly, demonstration materials in place, and records up to date.
Maintain accurate daily records of sales transactions, spare parts movements, credit-sales facilitation cases, and service jobs.
Submit weekly territory sales and activity reports.
