Education:
∎ M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management/ Environmental Science/ Climate Change/ Disaster Management/ Social Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Economics/Geography and Environment / Urban and Regional Planning and other relevant subjects from any reputed Public and Private University.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7+ years of progressive experience in implementing NRM project and Co-management activities.
∎ Prior experience of implementing large scale or multi-sectoral, multi donor funded NRM programs and supervise project staff.
∎ To work with USAID supported NRM related projects as NRM, Co-management and NRM Officer.
∎ Experience in facilitating and supporting programmatic decision making, adaptive management, and learning.
∎ Experience to work with Bangladesh Forest Department
∎ Knowledge:
∎ Strong knowledge on NRM, climate resilient, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), climate change, disaster risk reduction and co-management.
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and skills in NRM.
∎ Good organizational skills, the ability to pay close attention to detail and capable of reporting in a timely manner.
∎ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines accurately and on time;
∎ Ability to work with local government and Co-management organization.
∎ Willingness and ability to travel frequently to the program areas in Cox’s Bazar and other locations as required.
∎ Capacity and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in difficult working circumstances.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
∎ Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience
∎ Technical expertise in the areas of NRM capacity building and Co-management activity.
∎ Experience in collaborating and coordinating with USAID and other external stakeholders on NRM-related matters.
∎ Experience working in Cox’s Bazar and Hill Districts.
∎ Ability to work independently or as a member of the team, ability to thrive in a matrix organization,
∎ Ability to be detailed-oriented, and ability to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment.
∎ Ability to maintain confidentiality on work-related matters.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Contract Status: Fixed term
∎ Duration: 24 months with a possibility of extension depending on availability of fund.

∎ To ensure the success of the proposed programmatic results through the provision of technical and strategic leadership of the NRM component of the USAID’s Host and Impacted Community Resilience Activity (HICRA) project being implemented in Cox’s Bazar and Hill Tracts Region of the country.
