Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in relevant subject like Social Science, Disaster Management, Development studies, from recognized university of Bangladesh/ Bachelor of Physiotherapy.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ Currently Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is looking for a suitable Bangladeshi national for the following position under Integrated Resilience Program (IRP), Jamalpur:
∎ Duration of contract: 1 Year (with possibility of extension).
∎ Reporting to: Unit Level Officer, BDRCS, Jamalpur
∎ Age limit: 35 years (age limit will be relaxed in case of potential candidate).
∎ Duty station: Islampur, Jamalpur.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review the planning for implementation of Program activities which are related to disability inclusion
∎ Prepare periodic action plan as required.
∎ Supervise, coordinate and monitor IRP disability inclusion activities at community, union, Upazila and district level.
∎ Liaison with Center for Disability in Development (CDD) and with disability focal person from BDRCS NHQ.
∎ Fund management (Budget review, prepare BoQ, fund requisition, prepare bills and payment to Vendor, advance/ bill adjustment etc).
∎ Secure required decisions/approvals of the PIC in order to ensure smooth implementation of the IRP Program.
∎ Prepare monthly report on the activities done on the disability component Coordinate/compile monthly activities plan for all sectors.
∎ Identification of needs of person with disabilities, positive rapport building with person with disability, assessment of person with disability, assist to adaptation them, assist to ensure education of disable children,
∎ Assist to person with disability, in assistive device, assessment, making or procurement of such device with maintenance and proper utilization.
∎ Support to person with disability, in mobility and universal accessibility.
∎ Conduct training /meeting/ seminar on disability inclusion at community and different level.
∎ Strengthen Self Help Group /Community based Organization-CBOs
∎ Supervise/monitor the work of subordinate staffs, community organizers / Volunteers etc.
∎ Facilitate and support training program implementation at different level including community.
∎ Brief regularly to Program Manager or supervisor on the progress of the IRP Program
∎ General Responsibilities:
∎ Assist the Program Personnel in overall management of IRP Program on Disability Inclusion and achievement of the IRP Program as a whole.
∎ Effectively coordinate with all leaders of the CDMC & CDRT and UDRT on program.
∎ Record keeping all relevant activities.
∎ Effective communication with line manager as well as different relevant agencies
∎ Ensure the rights of the person with disabilities in line with IRP Program
∎ Any other duties as instructed by the line manager
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Specialized Knowledge: Program planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and documentation. Need to have technical knowledge on person with disabilities handling and disability inclusion
∎ Skills: Proven efficiency in working with persons with disabilities
∎ Competencies: Working knowledge on Project/Program planning & budgeting, Implementation, monitoring & reporting, sound computer knowledge, spoken and written in English and Bangla and working for team building
∎ Professional Certification: Prior experience of working with person with disabilities at any national or international organization
∎ Driving Skill: Having motor cycle driving skill with valid license
∎ Personal Qualities:
∎ Adhere to the 7 fundamental principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement.
∎ Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
∎ Demonstrate honesty and a high level of integrity.
∎ Assist the organization on occasion, in times of national, international or local emergencies or major disasters.
∎ Always work towards promotion of RCRC Principles and Humanitarian Values in the communities
Salary:
∎ 30,000 to 32,000 Taka.
