Experience:
M.Sc. in Natural Resource Management/ Environmental Science/ Climate Change/ Disaster Management/ Social Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Economics/Geography and Environment / Urban and Regional Planning and other relevant subjects from any reputed Public and Private University.
Working experience:
At least 10+ years of progressive experience in designing, developing, capacity building of workforce on NRM and implemention of natural resources management and Co-management activities.
Prior experience of implementing large scale or multi-sectoral, multi donor funded NRM programs and supervise project staff.
Experience to work with USAID supported projects as Capacity building, Co-management and NRM expert.
Strong working familiarity with USAID requirements, regulations, and policies.
Experience in facilitating and supporting programmatic decision making, adaptive management, and learning.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge on NRM, climate resilient, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), climate change, disaster risk reduction and co-management.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in applying USAID policies, standards, and best practices including capacity building activity in NRM.
Skills:
Good organizational skills, the ability to pay close attention to detail and capable of reporting in a timely manner.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines accurately and on time;
Excellent report writing and presentation skills, and ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner, and to use innovative forms of communication.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently to the program areas in Cox’s Bazar and the CHT districts, and other locations as required.
Capacity and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in difficult working circumstances.
Capacity building and Training skills for staffs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience.
Expertise:
Technical expertise in the areas of NRM capacity building and Co-management activity.
Experience in collaborating and coordinating with USAID and other external stakeholders on NRM-related matters.
Experience working in Cox’s Bazar and Hill Districts.

About the role:
To ensure the success of the proposed programmatic results through the provision of technical and strategic leadership of the NRM component of the USAID’s Host and Impacted Community Resilience Activity (HICRA) project being implemented in Cox’s Bazar and Hill Tracts Region of the country. The Technical Lead will provide training to the workforce-NRM of Implementing Partners and lead the implementation of project activities.
