Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provides strategic and technical guidelines for the program, including comprehensive support around different technical training for a diverse group e.g. Master trainers, teachers, SMCs
∎ Provides technical support in the selection of assistive devices, whilst considering appropriate measurements and distribution among children with disabilities
∎ Provide technical support to the DID-IE consortium members and partners regarding inclusive education and the aspects related to education.
∎ Provide technical support to conduct SLIP training ensuring highest quality at field level with teachers
∎ Supporting consortium partners to successfully ensure quality service of the project
∎ Maintaining strong working relationships with government level offices such as MOPME/DPE/NAPE/NCTB/DSS/URC
∎ Develop strong collaborative, supportive, and mutually respectful relationships with diverse team members, consortium members and key stakeholders.
∎ Ensure program activities are implemented on schedule, within budget, and coordinated to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
∎ Coordinate with the relevant internal and external finance teams on budget preparation, forecasting, advances, requisitions, adjustments, and financial documentation.
∎ Monitoring partner activities implementation, budget spend, and analyze expenditure variances, equity and inclusion throughout program implementation.
∎ Liaison and coordination with DC office, UNO office, District level Education Officials, Department of Social Services (DSS), Local Government Authorities (LGA).
∎ As per the guidance of Sightsavers’ Advocacy and Communication Coordinator, support partner/s in the district to deliver advocacy activities and campaigns for the project.
∎ Ensure regular project performance monitoring of partners as per the guidance of Sightsavers’ country and global colleagues.
∎ Contribute to monthly, quarterly report writing along with management of participant database to ensure the quality and consistency of the activities offered from the project.  This is a highly varied and involved role and the above is not an exhaustive list of duties or required professional skills. ∎ Contract: 18-month fixed term contract.
∎ About the role: The Technical Expert works alongside Sightsavers’ DID-IE TO45 team to coordinate and support implementing partner organizations to successfully implement approved activities. The post-holder will liaise with partners to support effective planning and strengthen collaboration with district level educational officials, the department of social services and relevant authorities. Advocating for disability inclusion and inclusive education with relevant authorities and on behalf of Sightsavers. The role will oversee financial and asset management of implementing partners, whilst reporting to the Country Director. The Technical Expert will work closely with the Deputy Director of Education and the Senior Global Technical lead of Education.
