Must have analytical ability, communication, reporting, field layout
Must have Knowledge of experiment establishment according to guideline, field management, labor management, computer operating, data collection
Must have ability to work in adverse condition
Must be capable of performing effectively under pressure
Responsibilities & Context:
Collect samples and prepare pollen slides for microscopic observation
Carry out yield evaluation trials (e.g. OYT, AYT, and MLT) and conduct variety screening.
Set up experimental hybrids, providing full support according to guidelines
Produce all seed classes, including crossing seed (after emasculation & clipping), according to targets
Assist in establishing Grow-Out Tests (GOT) and GDDM
Help in maintaining all germplasm
Recruit, coordinate, and manage labor
Prepare action plans; collect and update data; maintain field register including weather records
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so
Perform any other jobs as assigned by the management
