Educational Requirements:
∎ A Bachelor's / Master's degree from an accredited institution in the related field
∎ Any other degree or Diploma with French/ Spanish/ Mandarin certifications.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Spanish / Mandarin / French Language Teacher for Middle (MYP) and Senior (DP) sections;
∎ Develop, AusIS expects from Spanish / Mandarin / French Language Teacher to perform following duties and responsibilities:
∎ Serving maintain, and continuously update existing unit plans and related documents
∎ Plan, initiate and guide the study of units in French which involve speaking. listening, writing and reading;
∎ Foster thought, discussion, reading comprehension, linguistic analysis, a consistent work ethic, Spanish / Mandarin / French skills and a desire for learning and excellence;
∎ Embrace on student centered learning and critical thinking;
∎ Encourage all students to be actively engaged in their own learning and in reviewing their progress against targets;
∎ Encourage and foster intellectual curiosity;
∎ Take into account the differing ability levels of students and differentiate work accordingly
∎ Set appropriate tasks and challenges according to the published timetable, and ensure that work is regularly evaluated, with constructive feedback
∎ Demonstrates gains in student performance;
∎ Work collaboratively with members of the group and positively contribute to subject group tasks, such as policies, common assessments, instructional practices, grading practice etc.
∎ Create assessments (including comprehensive semester exams), evaluate those assessments and promptly grade those assessments as well as each student's other work (assignments, presentations etc.);
∎ Assumes responsibility for meeting his/her course and school-wide student performance goals;
∎ Maintain accurate records of student progress in line with DP and school policy
∎ Participates in training and presentations pertaining to professional development;
∎ Meets professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating;
∎ Communicate regularly and constructively with peers, students and parents;
∎ Providing appropriate instructions to the students that will help them to attain competency in Spanish / Mandarin / French language as per their grade level;
∎ Ensuring that students are actually engaged in meaningful learning experience;
∎ Observing, recording and reporting on the behavior of individual children as assigned;
∎ Carrying out other duties as assigned.
∎ Ensuring he/she is fully aware of all of the school's policies relating to students and act accordingly to protect and enhance the physical and emotional welfare of the students
∎ As the role of homeroom teacher to manage the student and maintain a good home-school relationship
∎ Adhering to all other policies and procedures of the school as approved by the Board or the Head of School
∎ Performing other reasonable duties as instructed by school, including but not limited to lesson planning, preparation and assessment, meetings, students' field trip, subject fair and other routine events
∎ Taking part in whole school event.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3-5 years' full-time teaching experience in the relevant subject area in International English medium school;
∎ Fluency and accuracy in written and spoken English
∎ Computer skills at a level that permits the creative and effective use of technology in the classroom
∎ Proven ability to work effectively in a team, preferably involving both national and international staff
∎ 'O' level and 'A' level will be extra credit;
∎ Having IB curriculum training and experience will be given high preference;
∎ Diploma in Education will be given preference;
∎ Teaching experience in International English Medium School will be given priority;
