Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise daily housekeeping operations across the hospital.
∎ Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff capabilities and prepare them for advanced roles within the department.
∎ Maintain strict control over inventory and purchasing of cleaning materials.
∎ Oversee the maintenance of non-medical furniture and ensure proper upkeep.
∎ Implement and supervise both deep cleaning and general cleaning schedules.
∎ Manage and monitor pest control operations, ensuring correct chemical usage.
∎ Ensure high standards of cleanliness in all Inpatient and Outpatient Departments (IPD and OPD).
∎ Collaborate with nursing staff to address operational issues and ensure adherence to cleanliness standards.
∎ Ensure a sufficient supply of clean linen across all hospital areas.
∎ Conduct regular inspections of rooms for necessary repairs and refurbishment.
∎ Ensure appropriate staffing levels during each shift to maintain housekeeping standards.
∎ Maintain daily room readiness and cleaning checklists.
∎ Ensure the availability of adequate cleaning supplies and materials at all times.
∎ Develop and maintain cleaning and maintenance plans for all patient rooms and public areas.
∎ Assign duties and supervise subordinates to ensure efficient departmental operations.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The Supervisor will oversee the housekeeping services at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital, ensuring all activities comply with international standards of quality and patient safety. The role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, medical staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include infection control, waste management, personal hygiene, and patient safety. The Supervisor will also work closely with the laundry department to ensure seamless operations across the hospital.
