Responsibilities & Context:

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing and maintaining the restaurant’s inventory, including food, beverages, equipment, and supplies. This role ensures proper storage, accurate record-keeping, timely issuance, and cost control to support smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Receive, inspect, and store all incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.

  • Ensure proper storage conditions for perishable and non-perishable items.

  • Maintained accurate stock records and updated inventory management systems.

  • Monitor stock levels and inform management of reorder requirements.

  • Conduct regular stock audits to minimize shortages, wastage, and pilferage.

Issuing & Control

  • Based on approved requests, issue supplies to kitchen, bar, and service staff.

  • Ensure proper documentation (GRN, requisition slips, issue vouchers, etc.).

  • Maintain stock rotation (FIFO & FEFO) for food safety and cost control.

  • Report discrepancies, damages, or expired goods immediately.

Cost & Budget Control

  • Assist in monitoring food and beverage costs through efficient stock control.

  • Help reduce wastage and ensure optimal use of resources.

  • Support management in monthly cost reporting and reconciliation.

Hygiene & Safety

  • Ensure the cleanliness, safety, and security of the store area.

  • Comply with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

  • Implement proper labeling, stacking, and handling procedures.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Supply Chain, Accounts, or related field.

  • 2–3 years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in the hospitality/restaurant sector.

  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and MS Excel.

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
