Oversee organizational financial management through computerized, manual, and software basis. Develop and carry out strategic and operational plans for growth. Ensure financial accuracy and proper record keeping, ensuring the organizational, donor (as applicable), and host countries compliances.
• Manage daily accounting and bookkeeping for the assigned branch accounts office, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Post all financial transactions promptly into the HCMP ERP system to maintain up to date records.
• Support adherence to organizational accounting standards by ensuring proper documentation for vendor/partner payments, advance liquidations, and timely preparation and dissemination of financial reports.
• Prepare and submit regular cash requests to donors to ensure uninterrupted project operations, and carry out accurate bank reconciliations.
• Review and verify all procurement requisitions submitted by HCMP branch offices.
• Confirm fund availability for procurement and collaborate with procurement teams and relevant sectors to collect quotations and ensure correct budget coding.
• Maintain updated taxation records and prepare required tax reports.
• Ensure accurate deduction and deposition of TDS and VDS in compliance with Bangladesh Government rules and Treasury schedules.
• Coordinate with sector teams to monitor expenditures, resolve discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments.
• Review project wise transaction lists to minimize miscoding and ensure financial accuracy.
• Monitor project burn rates, including requisition amounts and program expenditures, and provide timely reports.
• Verify MIS transaction data, identify missing sub ledger codes, and validate financial reports based on MIS and Receipt Payment statements.
• Support donor, internal, and external audits and provide timely responses to audit observations.
• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
● Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
