Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensure the nursing of the patient and provide the health care services at hospital·
∎ Responsible to initiate emergency treatment, stabilization of patients and ensuring adequate patient·
∎ monitoring in health post.
∎ Responsible for dressing of wounds, minor injuries, skin infections and administrating drugs as prescribed by the medical officer.
∎ Responsible for assisting in the transfer of sick patients to hospital as requested by medical officer.
∎ Responsible for maintaining excellent infection control standards in the health post. ·
∎ Give the necessary supervision, care and advise to the patients·
∎ Manage complications in accordance with the principles of basic emergency care.
∎ Counsel and educate women, the family and the community, in relevant areas of health including preparation for parenthood and childbirth.
∎ Provide all non-surgical methods of family planning, and counselling for surgical methods.
∎ Obtain specialized assistance as necessary (consultation or referral).
∎ Perform administrative duties such as patient charting, recording and reporting of data; clinic and/or facility management (as required).
∎ Participate in provision of 24-hours, 7-days emergency service, which may require evening, night or on- call duty.
