  • Should have knowledge of root permit



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Perform advanced diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of cars and pickup vehicles (petrol and diesel).

  • Lead and supervise junior technicians and mechanics, providing technical guidance and on-the-job training.

  • Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools.

  • Carry out engine, transmission, suspension, brake, steering, and HVAC system repairs.

  • Ensure timely servicing of vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and maintenance schedules.

  • Oversee routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacement, alignment, and balancing.

  • Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and maintenance logs.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, workshop policies, and environmental regulations.

  • Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure quality and performance.

  • Coordinate with spare parts stores to ensure availability of required components.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems including wiring, sensors, batteries, alternators, and starters.

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide on-site repair support when required.

  • Monitor tools, equipment, and workshop cleanliness to ensure proper working condition.

  • Report major faults, repair costs, and vehicle conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and maintenance costs.
