Job Context:
∎ Duration of contract : One year (with possibility of extension).
∎ Reportable to : Operation Coordinator in close coordination with Director, Planning & Development.
∎ Duty station : National Head Quarters (NHQ), Moghbazar, Dhaka.
∎ This position under the Planning & Development (P&D) department of BDRCS will directly coordinate and support the COVID-19 response operation, in close coordination with Disaster Response director and the team.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide necessary support and guidance to the COVID-19 operation team in the planning/regular review of the existing plan of action (PoA) process of the National Society Response Plan (NSRP) of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) including vaccination. Support to ensure necessary alignment of the NSRP or COVID-19 related PoA with the Global Appeal of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
∎ Work closely with Planning Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting (PMER) team1, operation team including the COVID-19 working group and BDRCS-IFRC and in country Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners to ensure measuring and review of progress of its goals, outcomes by outlining a comprehensive M&E framework as well as by formulating indicators (in line with the IFRC Global COVID-19 Appeal indicators) against different level of results.
∎ Ensure necessary, systematic, regular and effective flow of information with field operations' team in coordination with the Information Management and PMER units Unit Affairs department and other relevant departments/units at NHQ. Ensure necessary coordination with IFRC operation and PMER team.
∎ Support in developing concept notes and project proposals as required and assist in developing implementation plan for COVID-19 and its vaccination related activities.
∎ Work in a team to provide technical support to the operation team in developing logical frameworks, monitoring and evaluation plans and other result-based frameworks of BDRCS NSRP and/or specific project/PoA related to COVID-19 and its vaccination.
∎ In coordination with operation team, make necessary field visit and ensure the findings are share with the operational and PMER team.
∎ Provide necessary technical assistance in conducting needs assessment, if needed.
∎ In coordination with PMER and IM, develop progress tracking system for COVID-19 activities. Link the same with the PMER and IM team in Cox's Bazar.
∎ Provide necessary support in designing and implementing evaluations (as requested by BDRCS management and/or IFRC/IFRC's in country membership/IFRC's back donor(s).
∎ Work closely with CEA team (including IFRC) to gather COVID-19 related feedbacks from communities and other relevant stakeholders and in consultation with operation's team incorporate relevant feedback in the activities
∎ Coordinate and generate with the BDRCS PMER unit and other units/departments of BDRCS, IFRC and other in country Movement partners for timely production of relevant report.
∎ Support IFRC and/or its country membership in generating timely pledge, project-based report and operational update (following BDRCS/IFRC prescribed templates) relevant to COVID-19 operation.
∎ Contribute to wide organizational learning relevant to COVID-19 operation by preparing and disseminating lessons learned, good practices and evidence provided by operation/programme activities through information bulletins, operations updates and revisions and regular programme updates.
∎ Work closely with IM to generate necessary dashboard and update and share that on regular basis.
∎ Work closely with BDRCS PMER unit and provide necessary support to mainstreaming PMER activities and support to coordinate PMER system development initiatives / interventions in BDRCS.
∎ Perform any other relevant duties assigned by the line manager(s).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age limit : 40 years (age limit will be relaxed in case of potential candidate).
∎ Experience:
∎ Minimum 5 years' experience of working with an international or national development organization in Planning, Reporting, Monitoring and Evaluation related positions
∎ Experience to work with a humanitarian organization will be an added advantage
∎ Specialized knowledge
∎ Excellent understanding and/or knowledge in result based management, project design, and project cycle management etc.
∎ Expertise in designing and implementing baseline studies, programme reviews, evaluations and other assessments.
∎ Good understanding on community engagement and protection, gender and inclusion will be an added value.
∎ Skills/ Competencies/ Abilities:
∎ Fluent in English and excellent writing and editing skills
∎ Good knowledge of Management Information Systems (MIS)
∎ Team building skills
∎ Good all round computer skills
∎ Analytical skills
∎ Professional Certification: Relevant to the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
