Master’s degree/MBA in Accounting, Finance, Management from any reputed university.
Preferred Professional Certification: Chartered Accountants Course Completed (CA CC).
At least 3 years professional experience with Corporate Finance/INGO/NGO finance.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and to set priorities.
Good English writing, analytical and communication skills.
Good ability to work with a virtual cross-functional team.
Willing and able to travel independently outside station.
Ability to manage Partners NGO visit and checking reporting.
Ability to manage Admin and People and culture related works.

About the Role
The overall responsibility of Sr. Finance Officer will be to ensure for Project Finance related functions at the Country Office, Dhaka. Working under the Finance Manager s/he will ensure all financial support to project staff, finance team and GSS for smooth implementation.
Key Responsibilties-
Responsible for overall Accounts and Financial operation of Practical Action Consulting Bangladesh Ltd. in coordination with Finance Manager.
Perform FDI reporting to Bangladesh Bank and RJSC documentation.
Maintain accurate and consistent transaction recording and thorough documentation.
Perform daily data entry into the Business central, meticulously verifying data accuracy.
Prepare Vendor Card, customer card, upload suppliers bill in Business central for PAC as and when necessary.
Upload and revise budget for projects and PAC accounts as and when necessary.
Review and process bills and vouchers, ensuring timely settlement of payables and receivables.
Oversee the daily financial operations of projects and PAC accounts.
Support in keeping updated on regulatory matters for Practical Action Consulting (PAC).
Prepare comprehensive Donor Financial Reports on a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basis.
Generate budget variance analysis reports.
Support business development unit by preparing proposal budgets with review from Programme and Finance for projects and PAC
Compile and submit monthly cumulative fund requests via the electronic approval system.
Prepare Monthly Financial Reports and Bank Reconciliation reports.
Review project partners’ financial reports and record their expenditures after resolving any discrepancies and obtaining adequate corrections and supporting documents.
Support Programme and Regional Finance Team regarding project financial reporting, budget preparation & revision.
Document all project-related information meticulously.
Provide financial assistance to project team members as needed.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to create the project budget and submit funding requests promptly.
Maintain bank and petty cash, handle supplier payments, and ensure timely adjustments.
Scan and store monthly bill vouchers in OneDrive/MS Teams.
Ensure accurate monthly charge allocation.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including proper deduction and recording of TDS and VDS at applicable rates.
Prepare vendor-wise VAT/TDS calculation sheets.
Prepare and submit TAX and VAT returns to the respective authorities and support any queries from the authorities.
Prepare salary tax certificates for all staff and supplier tax certificate for all PAC suppliers
Support tax consultant to prepare and submit annual tax return of Practical Action and Practical Action Consulting Bangladesh Ltd.
Assist in preparing FD-6, FD-3, FD-2, FD-4, and the annual report, ensuring timely submission to the NGO Affairs Bureau.
Provide support for obtaining approvals from the NGOAB.
Keep Be Your Best (BYB) materials updated.
Support both Internal and External Audits, supplying requested supporting documents and information for project, PAC and organizational audits.
Support as finance focal to procurement committee of projects and PAC procurement.
Maintain adherence to Practical Action’s policies.
Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.
