Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

10+ years of work experience as Sr. Manager/ AGM in Tax and VAT Department of manufacturing, trading & service industry. Good experience with Hyperion/Oracle/SAP ERP modules. Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet tight deadlines & critical issues. Good analytical skills, data management and presentation skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage Annual Tax Return Submission, Documentation, and Tax Hearings, Company Tax & VAT Return Submission, Assessment, Hearings, and Appeal Tribunal submissions.

  • Ensure annual Tax return and Tax audit preparation for all business units.

  • Participate in hearings before the DCT, Appellate Commissioner, Appellate Tribunal, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for the finalization of the assessment.

  • Comply with the provision of the Income Tax Ordinance 1984, VAT Act 2012.Tax Planning, mitigating the tax burden efficiently and ensuring compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations.

  • Coordinate tax audits with the tax authorities and lawyers and manage the tax provision and tax compliance process.

  • Develop and Maintain Liaison with Government Regulatory bodies (NBR, BB, RJSC, SEC, BOI)Manage employee Tax (Yearly/as and when required).

  • Follow-up Tax, VAT, and Insurance with Customs & ensure all Procedures.

  • Follow-up monthly TDS submission to Tax Authority.

  • Assist the management in keeping up-to-date with any relevant changes in VAT and TAX regulations.

  • Prepare & maintain the board of director`s personal income tax file efficiently.

  • Prepare tax status and payment reports for the board of directors.Manage all Income Tax, VAT, RJSC related queries and filings in the right manner and tax planning for assessment of the company.

  • Follow-up with all concerned persons for monthly VAT returns (Mushok - 9.1) and other related documents as such Mushok - 4.3, Mushok - 6.3, Mushok - 6.4, Mushok - 6.6, Mushok - 6.10 as per new VAT & SD Act 2012 & Rule 2016 & also have to keep these record in NBR approved VAT software and own MS Excel.

  • Review all financial records, systems, and control processes of the company as per accounting standards and tax laws.

  • Work independently and have sufficient knowledge regarding Export-Import, Customs procedures, VAT & Tax rules related to Export and Import.

  • Oversee various corporate governance matters.

  • Follow up on company secretarial duties.

  • Ensuring compliance with company law & regulations.
