Job Context:
∎ Applications are invited for the following position of USTC on prevailing terms and conditions
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Administer and monitor IT operations of the campus.
∎ Maintenance of the daily operations of ERP solutions and generate reports as required by the top management in excel or formats of ERP.
∎ Install, configure and support large-scale production and network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, load balancers and other network equipment
∎ VPN setup and troubleshooting
∎ Monitor system hardware and software and manage system and service performance
∎ Configuration of voice and wireless services and equipment
∎ Perform periodic security reviews and maintain network infrastructure to appropriate security standards
∎ Provide technical security support, advice and further analysis on the vendor products and technologies listed below for our customers infrastructure security needs
∎ The provision of detailed and accurate guidance on the use of client products to support our customer base
∎ Effectively interact with other members of the team to provide security solutions to technical issues
∎ Support the Institute Day to day needs and be part of a rotational on-call support workflow to respond to urgent out of hours Network issues. Therefore, flexibility is essential for this role
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ At least 3 years experience in a network engineer role/experience from the field in case of any corporate groups
∎ Degree in IT, Engineering or other related experience
∎ Some exposure to Aruba WIFI network solutions
∎ Takes responsibility for assigned tasks, and is accountable for driving tasks through to completion
∎ Strong verbal and written communication skills
∎ Linux exposure with scripting skills a nice to have
