Skills Required: Fabric Inspection,Warehouse Management
Additional Requirements:
Strong knowledge of fabric types, fabric GSM, shrinkage, shade group, and fabric testing parameters.
Hands-on experience in ERP.
Good analytical skills and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to manage team, helpers, and material handlers.
Proficient in MS Excel, inventory report preparation.
Strong communication and time management skills.
Responsibilities & Context:
Receive fabrics from suppliers and verify quantity & quality against delivery challan, invoice, and purchase order.
Coordinate with QA/Inspection team for fabric shade, GSM, width, defects, and shrinkage report.
Maintain fabric rolls/bales in rack/bin by style, PO, color, lot, and shade group.
Ensure proper labelling, tagging, and systematic stacking to avoid damage or mix-up.
Maintain storage conditions to avoid moisture, fungus, or fabric deformation.
Issue fabric to the cutting section as per requisition/MRR following FIFO/LIFO or shade grouping.
Coordinate with the cutting in-charge to ensure timely fabric supply without production interruption.
Maintain accurate stock of all types of fabric—grey, finished, reject, and leftover.
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly physical stock counts and reconcile with system data.
Report fabric shortages, excess, and variances to management and planning.
Liaise with the Purchase, Merchandising, Planning (PPC), Cutting, QA, and Accounts departments for smooth workflow.
Maintain 5S practices (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain).
Any other task assigned by the management.
