Responsibilities & Context:

Accounting & Financial Reporting:

  • Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts in line with IAS, IFRS and Bangladesh accounting standards.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Assist in internal and external audits.

  • Prepare audit schedules, working papers and respond to audit queries.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls and regulatory requirements.

  • Identify control gaps and recommend improvements.

Taxation & Statutory Matters:

  • Handle VAT & Tax compliance as per NBR regulations.

  • Assist in preparation and submission of VAT returns, tax returns and related documents.

  • Maintain proper VAT & Tax records and supporting schedules.

  • Coordinate with tax consultants and authorities when required.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis:

  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts.

  • Analyze budget vs actual variances and provide explanations.

  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management decision-making.

  • Support cost control and efficiency initiatives.

Coordination & Support:

  • Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial matters.

  • Support management with ad-hoc financial reports and analysis.

  • Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed.

  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deadlines.
