• Candidate must have strong practical working experience in handling import operations in the Commercial Department of Composite Garments and Textile industries located DTA Chittagong.

• Responsible for end-to-end management of all import-related commercial activities including L/C opening, amendment issuance, applying for TT, release of party acceptance, retirement of import shipping documents and release of payment etc.

• Must have extensive knowledge of Bangladesh Import Policy, Customs Act, Bangladesh Customs Tariff, HS Code classification, and bonded warehouse regulations.

• Candidate must have strong experience in importing raw materials such as yarn, dyes, chemicals, fabrics, and accessories in compliance with customs regulations, and ensuring alignment with bonded warehouse entitlement (Paryappta) requirements.

• Responsible for maintaining close coordination with banks regarding import documentation, foreign exchange regulations, payment processing, and compliance matters.

• Must be capable of independently handling all Import banking formalities and maintaining liaison with banks for smooth execution of import transactions.

• Responsible for regular correspondence and follow-up with foreign suppliers regarding shipment schedules, shipping documents, discrepancies, and cargo status.

• To maintain close follow-up with shipping lines, freight forwarders, C&F agents, and other stakeholders for timely customs clearance and delivery of import consignments.

• Must have practical experience in expediting customs clearance of import consignments from Chittagong Seaport, ICD, and Dhaka Airport within the shortest possible time.

• Must have sound knowledge regarding correct HS Code determination and customs valuation of imported items.

• Must have clear understanding of L/C clauses, Incoterms, UCP guidelines, and foreign exchange regulations related to import operations.

• Must be proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel, and ERP software for handling daily commercial and import-related activities.

• Ability to work under pressure and efficiently manage multiple import shipments simultaneously.

• Any other import/commercial-related task assigned by the Management.
