Job Summary:
The Speech/Occupational Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized therapy programs for children or adults with communication, developmental, physical, sensory, or functional challenges. The therapist works collaboratively with clients, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to improve independence, communication, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, communication, sensory, motor, and functional needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals.

• Provide evidence-based speech and/or occupational therapy interventions.

• Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed.

• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, assessment reports, and progress notes.

• Educate and counsel clients, parents, caregivers, and teachers on therapy techniques and home programs.

• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, educators, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.

• Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, or environmental modifications when appropriate.

• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.

• Ensure compliance with ethical standards, organizational policies, and relevant professional regulations.

• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard client information at all times.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.

• Valid professional registration/licensure (as required by local regulatory authorities).

• Previous clinical experience is preferred; new graduates may be considered depending on the position.

• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning skills.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.

• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong organizational and documentation skills.
