Educational Requirements:
∎ Completed university degree in Medical science (MBBS) with post-graduate qualification (FCPS, MS, Diploma) and/ or minimum one-year post-graduate training (PGT) on Gynaecology and Obstetrics from an accredited academic institution.
∎ Good in written communication in English and Bangla
∎ Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
∎ Strong Interpersonal skills

∎ Under the direct supervision of the National Programme Officer (NPO) and overall guidance of Emergency Health Coordinator in Cox`s Bazar, the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the providing health support services to the beneficiaries/patients particularly; establishing and supporting Gynaecological and Obstetric services at UHC to include; comprehensive emergency obstetrics services, elective and Emergency Caesarean operations and related services. S/he will also have functional relation with and accountability to the in-charge of the Upazila Health Complex (UHC) of respective upazila (Ukhiya and Teknaf).
∎ Willing to work anywhere in Cox`s bazar (Teknaf & Ukhiya)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will work as a team member with clinical and administrative staff and specialist doctors in managing gynaecological and obstetric cases.
∎ Provides medical care and specialist consultation to gynaecological and obstetric referred patients, prescribe medication, interpret investigations and treatment
∎ Carries out daily ward rounds for admitted obstetric and gynaecological patients including post-operative cases, with the support of other medical doctors, and health professionals working in the health complex
∎ Overseeing and managing the MCH clinic; supporting and train staff, advice on improvements to service delivery as well as direct provision of antenatal, perinatal and post-natal services.
∎ Performs Caesarean operations, both as scheduled / elective and emergency operations.
∎ Performs USGs for referred cases including pregnant women with complications and other obs-gyne cases and advise
∎ Provides on-the-job training to other health staff and junior doctors on; improved management practices and other quality best practices with the aim of improving patients' treatment outcomes
∎ Supervises and mentors nurses, medical students and other mid-level healthcare professionals;
∎ Oversee maternal and RH health education messages and information packages provided to clients at the facility, also support information and content development to support community awareness partners. Support health information management systems both for the MOHFW as well as client' project; this should include but not limited to documentation and reporting of maternal and new-borne morbidity and mortality information.
∎ Always being available to attend obstetrics emergencies by being the first on-call if required.
∎ Participates actively in existing health sector coordination mechanisms and liaises with health sector stakeholders to contribute to
∎ addressing the unmet needs in maternal health,
∎ optimizing the allocation of available resources,
∎ developing clinical protocols, guidelines and standards;
∎ Assists to prepare periodic reports and other requests for information as required
∎ Support the schedules and maintenance of medical equipment, surgical suite (theatre), including operating, wash-up, waiting rooms, and anaesthetic and sterilizing equipment.
∎ Liaises and coordinates with local Government and health authorities and other stakeholders with a view to strengthening of health care delivery systems
∎ Assists the National Programme Officer in project monitoring and identifying priority health needs and other activities including but not limited to regular disease outbreak monitoring and reporting to the health authorities and take part in health awareness campaign, etc.
∎ Facilitate referrals and assisted transportation of critical cases to functioning secondary health facilities or hospitals when required in accordance with organization mandate and procedures directly or through health partners;
∎ Inform the secondary referral center about the referred case with significant medical condition to ensure proper and timely patient handling at the referral center upon arrival.
∎ Undertake regular duty travel and assist the National Programme Officer in planning and completion of field activities competently in order to ensure a well-organized and quality health care delivery service with special attention to the vulnerable populations.
∎ Enter medical information and other details into health databases with maintaining confidentiality. Also required to submit daily field trip report and necessary feedback to the National Programme Officer on a regular basis.
∎ Performs such other relevant duties assign by the line manager and supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least three years of experience in relevant areas of specialization, i.e.: at secondary to tertiary level with Operation Theatre (OT) providing Obstetrics and gynaecology services.
∎ Knowledge and experience with working in the field of public health will be an added advantage.
∎ Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills;
∎ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; courtesy, tact and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with people of diverse cultural and national backgrounds;
∎ Well-developed skills in personal organization, priority setting, problem solving and writing; Strong client orientation and service approach with personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility, and drive for results;
∎ High degree of judgment and initiative; ability to work with a high degree of independence within assigned areas.
∎ Working experience in Cox's Bazar district and/or knowledge of the Forcedly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs) will be a plus.

Salary:
∎ BDT 219,734.00
