Additional Requirements:
4–5 years’ experience in metal forming / sheet metal production environment (Power Press preferred).
Strong knowledge of U-Bending, Auto Cutting, and Power Press machines.
Experience in production scheduling, manpower handling, and reporting.
Ability to conduct metal mold trials and troubleshoot technical issues.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP systems for production tracking is an added advantage.
Responsibilities & Context:
Role Purpose
The Specialist Engineer – Production (Power Press Section) will be responsible for managing and optimizing production activities in the Power Press section. This role ensures production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining quality, safety, and alignment with overall Finished Goods requirements. The position requires strong technical expertise in metal forming processes, mold trials, and machine operation, along with leadership skills to manage manpower effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and implement daily/weekly production schedules for the Power Press section.
Monitor and optimize manpower allocation to achieve productivity targets.
Track and report production numbers, aligning with Finished Goods requirements.
Conduct Power Press machine capacity analysis to optimize performance and resource utilization.
Perform CpK analysis and regression analysis to ensure process stability and capability.
Oversee trial runs of new metal molds, ensuring output meets quality standards.
Provide technical expertise in progressive power press operations, clinching, and stretch coating processes.
Ensure proper usage, setup, and troubleshooting of progressive molds and conventional molds.
Lead and support toolshop activities, including mold modification, repair, and maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Planning) to resolve bottlenecks and ensure continuous improvement.
Drive cost reduction, waste minimization, and process efficiency initiatives.
Ensure compliance with company standards, safety policies, and operational procedures.
