Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for ensuring the promotion of organizational learnings and creating comprehensive knowledge management architecture on humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction and resilience building
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop programmatic plan of action in alignment with organizational strategic priorities and in close collaboration with the management and team.
∎ Establish strategic partnerships and networks with knowledge based organisations and institutions to facilitate access to emerging knowledge, innovations and evidences.
∎ Develop research and innovation proposal and implement new projects that can improve efficiency of the programme through the use of information systems.
∎ Ensure the promotion of new knowledge and learning through different communication channels, campaign, social media in collaboration with the communication department.
∎ Assist to develop strategic alliances with policy makers, media, and government for policy advocacy and communication.
∎ Coordinate all database issues; produce materials supporting evidence-based decision-making, including data analysis and visualization products for proposals, contracted delivery and learning events.
∎ Coordinate with early warning team maintain the information flow from field level to central level Best practices and evidences.
∎ Publish articles, blogs, journal paper, research reports and others.

Additional Requirements:
∎ • Word-processing, email and file management • Sourcing information using the web and/or web-based databases • ICT skills-PowerPoint, MiniTab, Nvivo, Knowledge Tree • Economic and financial analysis • Statistical and qualitative data analysis- SPSS/STATA/Atlas software application • Good written and oral communication skills • Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team, flexibility and multi-tasking
∎ • General principles and specific applications of the organisation of information • General understanding of the principles of data analysis and relational databases in particular • Online data repositories and content management systems • Supporting the knowledge management needs of a small research related organisation and resources (journals, knowledge archieve, resources etc) • The application of Web 2.0 technologies to information management (e.g. wikis, folksonomies) • Project based impact assessment and outcome based evaluation • Database layout and analysis framework development
