Job Responsibilities:
∎ Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts
∎ Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
∎ Integrate software components and third-party programs
∎ Verify and deploy programs and systems
∎ Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
∎ Gather and evaluate user feedback
∎ Recommend and execute improvements
∎ Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
∎ Work on a cross-functional team to build easy-to-understand solutions
∎ Review requirements and implement solutions
∎ Assess effort and carry on an agreed schedule
∎ Write reusable and efficient code
∎ Perform regular code reviews to improve and evolve
∎ Implement solutions that are realistic to get the platform developed
Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role
∎ Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
∎ Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
∎ Application development with desktop (i.e. Windows) and/or server
∎ Level 1 expertise on at least one of the following programming languages:
∎ C++
∎ Visual Basic
∎ Java
∎ C#
∎ Python
∎ SQL (T-SQL, SQL*Plus, Rapid SQL, NoSQL)
∎ Node.js
∎ Level 1 expertise on at least one of the following server software technology:
∎ PHP
∎ ASP
∎ Level 1 expertise on at least one of the following scripting:
∎ VB script
∎ HTML
∎ CSS
∎ JavaScript
∎ XML
∎ JQuery
∎ Angular
∎ JSON
∎ Familiar with (at least one of) following IDE (software development tool)
∎ Visual Studio
∎ Eclipse
∎ PyDev
∎ PyCharm
∎ Familiar with database development/management tools like:
∎ SQL Server Management Studio
∎ Oracle SQL Developer
∎ MySQL Workbench
∎ Toad
∎ Familiar with data integration tools like
∎ SQL Server Data Tool for SSIS
∎ Oracle Data Integrator
∎ Familiar with data analytics and reporting technologies like:
∎ SSRS
∎ SSAS
∎ Qlikview
∎ Tableau
∎ Power BI
∎ Experience with databases and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks (e.g. hibernate)
∎ Ability to learn new languages and technologies
∎ Excellent communication skills
∎ Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude
∎ Attention to detail
∎ 3+ years of professional software development experience (rare exceptions for highly skilled candidates)
